Affiliate / Amateur Opportunity here...

It strikes me that there is a real opportunity for some affiliate program to come up with a way to promote independent sites in a way that works well for everyone. A lot of lessons can be learned from those of us who tried to partner with someone anf had it go horribly wrong. I bet there's a huge business opportunity in there for someone.

fuck affiliates.

fuck affiliates.

Sure. It's called CCBill.

gothweb 04-09-2003 06:33 PM

Affiliates are a big part of why my sales have tripled. I don't think I'd do a partnership again, but there must be a lot of people who want to run their sites, not find traffic for them. An affiliate that catered to them could help keep things interesting in an age of corporate conglomeration in porn.

I was thinking in terms of promoting the site to potential affiliates, etc. I know how the CCBill system works, but it's a back-end, not a program.

Gothweb, do any of your models do webcam shows either on your sites or on third party websites?

so, the program would be a massive listing of amateur programs?

Kinda like, promoteamateurs.com ?

Or maybe like an affilaite program for affiliates? You send to this one site that lists all these other sites, and get webmaster refferals for who you send?

flashfreak 04-09-2003 08:36 PM

well I have smth in mind... but I didn't have time to make it work...
I made a game for Archer, The Perfect Match.
You have to select your preferences from a quizz and then a pic appears, based on your preference..

My ideea was to promote amateur girls with this game, to buy a catchy domain for it, and ask for photos from all amateur girls I can find.
Then work on the questions (tthe game loads the questions /answers from a text file and can be setup to as many questions as I want thru the same text file ), sort the pics accordingly and modify the game a bit: when the girl pic appears put a button: "Visit her site" that links her site (with my referral of ocurse ;) )...

PS: if you play it don't fall in love :Graucho

Vail has a refresh webcam. It is on a lot of the time just as a life cam, and she has four shows a week that show up on GothicAmateur.com and Blood Dolls.

Maybe not massive. It could certainy have limiting criteria, so it doesn't get out of control size-wise. But, yeah, something like promoteamateurs... Though I know very little about the nuts and bolts of that program.

slapass 04-10-2003 08:33 AM

i thought I had read on this board that the big programs will do an exclusive partnership? Cybererotica does this I think and they are very apporoachable so it would be easy to ask. This might be more restrictive then you were thinking.
Another thought is Insite Adult is doing very targeted opt in email programs so maybe it is time for a Goth mag/ezine. Again Bobby Insite is very approachable.
I had some shower time after reading this thread and you got it instead of me. No new money ideas for my stuff. hehe

I think a lot of small webmasters would be timid about approaching some big program and talking about joinging up. I never considered the idea that some of them might welcome just such a thing...

Rictor 04-18-2003 08:13 PM

Lightspeed is always looking for sites, I believe.

A lot of the big companies seem to be looking for fresh sites and ideas. Another idea is to duplicate your site with a different name and tour and pitch it to one of these programs. They could have a goth site in their portfolio and you could have access to their webmasters but also keep your own site intact.

I used to think of lightspeed at the premier conglomerate for high profile affliate promotion of independent sites, but it seems like they're now streamlining toward a certain image.

There is an empty space in which this idea will work; I think it's proven. There are a few necessary elements.

Y'know...it's not just girls who can't find traffic, lots of amateur sites being run by the girl and not a webmaster may not get as much traffic because sometimes the girls are too busy to promote as well as they could. (such as girls in college/university like myself). I'm sure if I had more time or had a photographer to take photos instead of using a tripod (thus making photo taking much much quicker) I could make better sales. :)

BritishTwinks 04-19-2003 01:18 AM

We're a fairly new program and a couple of people have already asked us to put their sites in our portfolio, so I guess most programs will have had lots of requests for this. In theory, I think it's a good idea - but you obviously need to be careful. I guess the key is to find a program that deals with similar niches but doesn't have similar sites.

DirtyDanza 04-19-2003 02:12 AM

ours is the bomb.... we run our own.. 5 amateur sites.. check it out.... ghost cash

Don't we all. A problem with this thread is that it gives away some opportunity without cementing a plan.
