Trace it with a path, you can even make it a shape then if you want.

I just made one pretty simply using the eliptical marquee tool. I made a big circle holding shift to keep round. Then holding down alt i made another circle to the left of it, almost like a crecsent moon effect only thicker. By holding alt it will delete that selection as opposed to adding to it with shift. Then i used the polygonal lasso tool to (holding alt) to remove the unused portion on either the top (in your case) or bottom. Then, holding shift (to add to selection) I use the rectangular marquee tool to add a big sqare to the opposite end of the one I just cut. Lastly, using the polygonal lasso, (holding alt) I carve off an arrowhead to that square selection.

That's not bad, but it looks a little rough at the edges. Learn to use the shapes tools, they are quite powerful. You can add and remove points on lines and shapes and drag them into anything you want.

Here are a couple of quick examples.

Balloons:

(they looked better before I optimized the colors)

Teardrops (in the text and down the left-hand side):

Those are pretty simple, but they're all I have on hand.

Ganjasaurus's method is pretty good, too, but not as accurate or flexible as the path tools.

When you create a path, you can do it as an outline or a shape.

I like your method so I'm not stuck with the shape tool defaults.

for the tools, if youre using PS7, under the text type tool there should be a button that looks like splash of water, if you hold that down you get the custom shape tool and you'll see the options above
