The suspect has been identified as Lakeem Keon Scott, and police say he was carrying an automatic-style rifle, a pistol and a large amount of ammunition.

The shooting occurred outside a Days Inn on Volunteer Parkway in Bristol, Tennessee. Police say he fired through a window of the hotel and shot "indiscriminately" at vehicles.

One victim, Jennifer Rooney, was killed, and three others were injured in the incident, including an officer. Scott was shot by Bristol police and he remains in serious but stable condition.
