IF and when Iraq is attacked, and then suddenly America comes under fire from terrorist cells within our borders while we are at war overseas, would that then be enough evidence for you that Saddam does have ties to terrorism in some way shape or form?

I mean, he did basically claim to bring the war overseas if Iraq is attacked, did he not? How would he be able to do that if he didn't mean through terrorism? Did he make a Freudian slip there, admitting that he does have terrorist ties? How would you explain terrorist attacks on our shores should they occur because of an attack on Iraq, IN LIGHT of what Saddam said above?

I thought they dropped most of their "guns" the last time they surrendered. It is being reported by some in the military that one of the biggest problems they anticipate is dealing with the numbers they expect will surrender in the early stages of the war.

Much of the world sees what your nation is about to do as terrorism. To the majority of the Earth's population the USA is a warmongering terrorist nation with weapons of mass destruction.

But that still doesn't tie Saddam to September 11 as much as you'd like it to.

It's not terrorist ties, but rather his very own network. It's fairly general knowledge that Iraq infact has quite a few terrorists of his own in foreign countries, who aren't doing anything at present. Now, note that these are not the same ones as Al Qaeda and such.

Unlike many Americans seem to believe at the moment, there is not one, big "terrorist" network in this world, including organizations such as Hamaz, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, the ETA, the IRA, the FARC, etc. Rather, there are different networks, some with connections between them, some without.

First of all, why the "IF" . There is no "IF" just "WHEN". That has been pretty clear for the past 3 months....

Secondly, why the "SUDDENLY" . This implies surprise , astonishment. It should be no surprise that the US and it's citizen's be attacked in any part of ther world.

This is called retaliation, not terrorism. If you say it is terrorism, then when Israeli troops enter Gaza and kills Palestinians, that would also be terrorism, not retaliation.....

Gman.357, attacks inside USA won't necessarily mean they will come directly from Saddam. USA has already an open war with a part of muslims and a war against a muslim country might radical result in more terrorist attacks. When religion is involved things turn ugly faster.

A few points: wouldn't you think the CIA director's "opinion", as expressed in a letter to congress would also be based on the information he has access to? Wouldn't you think he would be more informed than the average person? Wouldn't you think reports from the CIA are not just "opinions" but rather actually based on something.
Now, keep in mind that while things like that came out, there have been numerous reports from CIA people to the media that they were being pressured into "producing" facts, changing their professional opinions, etc.
