Richard Nixon was a criminal: A criminal who the American people were unable to prosecute because the was given a presidential pardon by his successor Gerald Ford when he resigned.

He resigned over guilt of a petty, politically motivated conspiracy, of the felonious breaking and entering (burglary, B&E) of his election challenger (George McGovern) at the Watergate hotel -- a common street crime usually.

Unindicted, he is considered by many a war criminal for this actions in Vietnam causing the unnecessary combat deaths of over 20,000 US GIs (the young of my generation) and countless thousands of both North and South Vietnamese soldiers and civilians.

He was also the "father" of the Republican Party's current form. "Eliminating" the Nelson Rockefeller Republican liberals and the more moderate elements of the Republican party.

Oddly enough, Henry Kissinger, Nixon's National Security Advisor and later Secretary of State was a Jew. He earned his low life status among Israelis for his anti Israel stance in the 1973 Yom Kippur War cease fire that he promoted in the Southern front with Egypt.

Economically, Nixon devalued the US dollar twice and abandoned the Bretton Woods agreements establishing gold redemption of currency between national treasuries. The net result is the fiat currencies we use today.

Nixon and Kissinger also were instrumental in the military coup of General Pinochet who became the Presidential Dictator in Chile for 20 years overthrowing the elected Salvador Allende, a Socialist. This caused a major rift with Latin America that continues today.

Richard Nixon was the worst scumbag President that the US ever elected, a political and economic criminal and an unindicted war criminal. I was 17 in 1972 and unable to vote. I was an anti Vietnam War protester, now pardoned felonious draft resister, and a supporter of George McGovern, the Yippies and the White Panther Party -- we fought in the streets of America for 3 years until Nixon resigned from office -- mission accomplished. Nixon was popular to burn in effigy during those times. One of the proudest moments of my life was ridding America of the pseudo-dictator Richard Nixon.
