The riots in Venezuela have been going on well over a week. Probably just as long as what's been happening in Ukraine. It's just been blacked out by the Venezuelan govt. They have blocked all social media and news stations from being about to broadcast.

I find it hilarious that Sean Penn advocates for governments to redistribute wealth in countries that can't touch his own wealth.

Venezuela has been slowly crashing down for some time now. They can't keep basic items in supply, such as toilet paper, businesses are shutting down because they are all over extended on credit. Citizens have to get on waiting lists just to buy new cars, and it could take two or three years... .

Hugo Chavez and his successor Nicolas Maduro have by their very own words and actions defined their little "revolution" as a socialist/marxist one. And their results are quickly ending up the same as every other socialist/marxist revolution that has been tried before.

Please don't bother trying to "talk sense to me" because clearly you are not capable of the civil and rational discussion that would be necessary to do so.

In one sentence, you tell him that his version of an Evil Empire doesn't exist. In the next sentence, you tell your version of an Evil Empire does exist and is truly evil.

Back in the 1960s I had the misfortune of knowing both Emmett Gogan (commie) and Sheldon Mitchell (Conservative).
