Where I'm at, the local AF base started doing some small pox vaccines about 2 months ago to a select few teams...

They're saying us old fogies that got the vaccine in the 60's could still CONTRACT smallpox, it's highly unlikely that we'd die from it. I'm sticking with my old vaccine, so to speak :winkwink:

Plus, there was a local show where the said it would take continued personal contact to contract it, and anyone sick enough to be an active carrier, wouldn't be walking the streets. Apparently that's why they are giving it to nurses and doctors - they are really the only ones that would have constant personal contact with a carrier.

And the chances of me getting killed in my car are a LOT higher and I'm not freaking out about that :1orglaugh

Why does that worry you? The leaders are taking the shots to show the medical community that 1) they think its neccessary, and 2) they think its safe.

When they start vacinating rings around the city, then Id panic! (If its so concentrated in one area, they would vacinate right outside that area as well, to try to "contain" the spread)
