I was same way. But, he wasnt angry at me, and was alot calmer, especially with the kick ass drugs they gave him.

I remember when my Kitty was fixxed.She was coming out of the anaesthetic.Holy shit you couldnt go near her..She almost clawwed out my eyes.I would highly reccomend to leave Bowser alone after the operation,he might bite you .They arent themselves for awhile.

I thought that too with my border collie until he kept running off and staying out all night. Finally had enough of that shit so I did it and things have been much better ever since :)

Could go either way... my two cats were desexed some years apart. The first one was obviously in a lot of pain, and I had to set up a tray with a blanket so I could carry the whole thing, instead of picking her up. The second one got home, and jumped out of the carry case like nothing was going on. She was a little quiet the for the next couple of days, but apart from that you would hardly have known she just had major surgery!

Neutering reduces your dog's "need" to roam. It reduces or eliminates certain reproductive cancers. It lessens a dog's need for dominance. A dog's lifespan is increased if they are neutered.

I had my "son" neutered a couple months ago. It was extremely hard to do :(

When I picked him up he was whimpering, and that made me feel even worse. He sat on my lap all the way home and cried. He never cries, so that worried me a bit.

When we got home, he did a few laps (running) around the house (which you aren't supposed to let them do) and then took about a 10 hour nap. After that he seemed 100%.

He forgave me fast :)

You big baby :winkwink: They don't cut off anything - they cut a small slit, the things fall right out (the joys of having a g-father in the cattle biz, lol). If he's over a year old, you won't even be able to tell the difference. Mine was a year old when I had him done (he was a rescue and that's when I got him) and he still marks everything and humps my female like crazy.

You're doing the responsible thing and making sure there aren't more strays around here I have to feel sorry for and adopt - thank you! :thumbsup

My dog wasn't playful at all after they took his nads. But I think it was an issue of self-esteem. Looking back, I would have had some of those silicone testes put in his bag. I bet that would have helped :winkwink:

my little yorky is doing well,,

i was worried that getting it done at 2 1/2 years old would be alot harder on him,,

but when i picked him up that night he acted the same as usual, jumping and running around like carzy
