Dexter's been irrelevant for at least two years. The show's been irrelevant since before Michael "Prima Donna Over-Paid Joke of an Actor" Hall married his fucking sister on the show and divorced her in, what? A Kardashian?

Dexter lost its edge after the John Lithgow series. MCH has no chance of touching that storyline, and the show is dead. Not dying - dead.

Dexter is done. Its been done for awhile. Kill off MCH, sell the franchise to AMC, and hire George Romero to do a living dead vs undead Dexter two hour special. Michael C Hall can pretend to give a shit while zombies over-run Miami; while the much more talented Jennifer Carpenter actually cleans up the mess.

I still can't believe JC married that one-note retard. Dexter was a great show because of the villians, and the ensemble cast. Michael C. Hall is less talented than my dog, but he makes a lot more money.

I find it laughable that MCH bask in the glory that was bestowed upon him by John Lithgow. Dexter is dead and gone - the show is a joke.

Every plot twist and cliff-hanger proves my point.

The writing is so pathetic this year. Not the story itself, but just the moments during the episodes when my intelligence is insulted by obvious dialogue explaining obvious shit that I've already figured out.

I completely agree that they'll never be able to top the Trinity Killer season and that's a shame.

The phrase "Dark Passenger" has really gotten to me. They repeat it ad nauseum this season.

Even worse, you have to listen to Dexter's inner monologue telling you exactly what he's thinking at every moment. How about a little fucking subtext? Was it always like that? I can't remember.

While I agree that it has lost some of its edge and isn't the show it once was, I still like it.

Like many shows it is a victim of its own success. At first you hold nothing back and pull out all the stops because you have no idea how long you might be on the air. The show then becomes a hit, everyone is cashing checks and somehow you have carry on finding it hard to top yourself.

My only hope is that Hall just signed for two more years. Let these two be the last and let them finish it. If they have an end date in mind that they can work towards it can regain its edge and maybe become something like it once was.
