[email protected] virus spamming anyone else besides me?
 

This dude is spamming me like mad, anyone else having this problem. Ususllya an .exe or .pif or .scr attached.

Its got to be a virus like a sir cam that mailes to everyone in your address book not some one spamming. I have been getting tons too

Yep it's pissing me off. Shitty thing is, I used to work at Boss Game Studios, and they own the boss.com domain, so when I saw the email come in the first time I opened it up thinking it was from them (virus checker caught it).

ahh thanks Kitty, this was really pissing me off. Scanning my system now, it was not clear from norton if I actually have the virus or someone with my email address has the virus.

im getting about 15 or so from him... he sounds like a great guy and always has wonderful files for me... great samples... i dont know what id do without him!

whoa, i've been deleting those damn things for months now, weird to see other webmasters here seeing it too. all of those i receive are directed towards paysite domains w/ proper email addresses, even unique addresses specifically, not just "catch-all's"... is everyone getting them, or are they actually directed at us adult webmasters..?

well I updated norton and scanned....110,000 files and 70 minutes later I appear to be clean. Guess Ill still get those annoying emails:feels-hot

Both Norton and McAfee have their DAT updates to include this nasty ass virus

Most of the virus programs out there should have updated their files and you should be able to use mail filters to quarantine / delete them as they come in.

I get about 5-10 a day as well. I started using Mail Washer a while ago and that helps a lot. You can blacklist e-mails etc, so they will be deleted before you even download them from the server. You guys might want to check it out. It's not my software, this is just a cool program that has helped eliminate all my garbage e-mail.
