I know someone that everyone makes excuses for, because he drinks a lot and acts like an asshole. They say "it's not him, it's the alcohol. He's usually a sweet guy when he's sober".

My argument is the person you are when drunk, is the true person. The alcohol doesn't transform you into a dick, it just allows you to be the dick you always want to be, but can't because of inhibitions.

I know some people who act like jerks most of the time, but turn into nice people when they drink. So it goes both ways.

My uncle was found dead last week.... they think heart attack. We all knew he drank himself to death. He would have been 58. He died the day before his birthday.

Same uncle who went psycho at christmas... they are doing an autopsy... to see if he didnt drug himself since he's been going on suicidal rants.

He had a near fatal heart attack in his 30's and had a NDE and has forever been pissed off at his co-worker who revived him for bring him back.

I cant remember this man ever being sober... I baby sat his kids every day after school from when I was 12-16...

i am a forgiving person i have no need to judge people. if someone comes out with me 100 times over years and has a couple bad nights. i'm not going to judge them.

when people are out with me i want them to let loose, i dont like being around people that make you feel like you have to walk on eggshells.

only people who dont like others having fun would ever notice or in the future talk about how someone "was" or "really is". that is called holding a grudge.

I have no tolerance for alcoholics. Went out with one for 2 years, bought into her games, drove her to the hospital after 2 serious blackouts. What a waste. She was hot, smart, the best fuck ever just a dream girl. But she's also radioactive. I learned the hard way. Stay away from alcoholics. And if they get clean say, through AA then you have to hear about how sick they are all fucking day long. My dad was one and he killed himself in a car accident when I was 12. OP IS RIGHT, COWARDS FOR SURE!
