do women get enema before giving birth?

just saw it in a movie and it totally makes sense, but then, this was happening in the 60s, so not sure if they still do it today

hmm, fascinating

martinsc 03-19-2011 05:56 AM

some do, some don't... depends mostly on the time that is left before the birth begins.

Women are not normally given an enema prior to childbirth.

cherrylula 03-19-2011 07:36 AM

They also shove a catheter up your pee hole. I was in so much pain though, that I really didn't feel anything and they take it out after and that was that. I have no idea if they gave me an enema, either. At the time you're about to pop out a baby there are nurses scrambling around you and a doctor prepping so with all the action those things are not a big deal and just take a couple seconds.

don't even get me started on the episiotomy... OMG and those shows never include what goes on after the baby comes out.... lol

you asked! :1orglaugh

i'm old fashioned, i'll do it like my father: go to a pub, get drunk, get to the hospital once the baby is there and everything is cleaned up

My wife's water broke when she was lying on the hospital bed, I came back into the room and thought she'd crapped herself (our baby did! :1orglaugh )

That's the way my father did it. Gave one of the nurses a few bucks and the phone number of the bar across the street. Told her to page him when it was all over.

Ya my gf had one didn't look like much fun lol....

yes that is VERY old fashioned mentality yo.
are you kidding? I think it's really strange when the experience is not shared with both parents, how can you not want to be there for her in the most important day of both your lives?????????????????????????????????
Like for example in CCCP they didn't let men see the baby or wife for DAYS after childbirth and here it's so open and shared and men have the option of being in the room. I think back then they were all pulling a "Michael Jackson" move showing the kids from windows? lol
I would think it's an experience of a lifetime you DON'T wanna miss out on DOLT!! but you need to find a wifey first to trap!!

yup, looking at your wife popping up a baby, covered in blood - soooooo beautiful and romantic

if you want to see my point of view on this one, go watch your husband's hemorrhoid surgery and see how that feels, I mean, undergoing surgery is a pretty big event too, so why not share it?

a man has no business in the room, unless there is nobody else (like sister, female friend, etc.) to support her; I seriously think that men that actually want to be present should see a shrink ASAP

xxweekxx 03-19-2011 10:33 AM

why the fuck would i wanna see that crap?

my friend told me he saw his wife give birth, she pooped while doing it, blood everywhere, etc..

and now he cant fuck her anymore.... too nasty...

it only takes one thing for me to not wanna fuck someone anymore.. if i do see all that crap im running away from her pussy for a while, and running to another pussy!

No, but usually women do shit a little bit while giving birth. It's perfectly normal.

To each their own. I can't relate, never went through this experience but I know many guys who were big help and were there for their wife and shared it together. I sure hope the father of my kid would want to be there and be able to watch so I can kick try to kick him the fuck outta
there!!! What's this staying behind the curtains I hear ?

:thumbsup Right on...

What's up these days with this new age treehugger mentality of insisting that the guy has to be present during childbirth....

CaptainHowdy 03-19-2011 02:45 PM
