Part of the problem is - anybody who is smart enough to be a decent blog writer would write their own blog - there are almost zero startup costs for a blog.

The one problem with starting your own blog, though, is that it takes a while before money starts coming in. So you basically need people who want to make money right away - unfortunately, a group which tends to be less than reliable in business.

Too bad she can't be bothered to answer simple sample or quote requests.

Three unanswered to date.

Reading that sample though, I am glad she didn't reply :Oh crap

It does, yes. But that doesn't excuse the simple errors, which make for tedious reading. For example, pantyhose should be used with a plural verb, not a singular one.

Arent there any REAL blog writers? Native english speaking professionals? Maybe working for a magazine on a daily basis and doing this as side job?
So far all blogwriters i know are some collegekids who arent able to pull a single sale with their blogs and trying to collect some money this way...
Not looking for cheap work over here.. will pay up to $350 for 30 unique quality posts. So if you have some reference on REAL blogs and not those 150uniques/day dead beats, then let me know and think about messaging me.. If you dont qualify, you should stay out of this thread and fuck the fuck off!

Man I don't know what you're looking for, I have university students that are educated and write amazingly well, I have one writer who even has a degree in creative writing!

Look up my name on Google, Moe Loubani and you'll see I've even done lots of main stream writing myself starting years ago.

So I'm really not sure what you are looking for, good writing, or good credentials?

Yes, it serves its purpose, nothing against the blog itself.

You know what you need and what works for you, wasn't trying to dispute that :thumbsup

Most readers who already have their cocks in their hands won't care, that's certainly true. But a few people might notice it, and could be distracted from the product you're trying to sell.

The idea behind copywriting is to present visitors with a catchy, easily read piece of text that captures their imagination. Badly written text simply doesn't do that.

I wouldn't have guessed so, no.

Personally, I don't even like to write lots and lots of blog entries at once these days. They just bore me after a while, plus for blogs, most people want native English speakers at outsource rates, one or two cents per word. I far prefer to do reviews, spend some time actually writing something instead of throwing some buzz words together, and get paid a decent rate. Since I've done over 2000 of them, I think I'm pretty good at it.

qxm 04-18-2008 12:17 PM

we have a team of dedicated Indian writers who say they are a native English speakers...... they arewaiting to take on your blog projects at any time so hit us up at freakingcheapIndianwriters.com

i think texts for just describing porn galleries dont matter THAT much (they do matter to a certain degree dont get me wrong), after all its the pics and videos theyre after.... for a mainstream product that you cannot vision i understand you go out of your way for a good description because you know peeps will judge what they buy by reading, but porn is mostly a graphic product that you present with sample pics and sample movies.
I look at the texts I write for my porn blogs only from an SE point of view; what keywords do i use for it. Sometimes i also write witty lines because i automatically come up with them while looking at the pics or vids, and i cant resist to put it in there but thats more to make myself laugh :winkwink:

One of the best writers I've ever found (mainstream or adult) is Sands. Reasonable prices, excellent work, and a superb work ethic.

I'll point him to this thread to contact you if he can take anything new on.

I have some tools on my blogs that track how long people spend on each page, and majority of the time there is no way they can read the whole entry, usually it is read a little a click a thumb

I have been a professional blogger for three years now. And I tend to agree with Ayla. Writing quality posts is something that's time-consuming and tedious. It isn't just something you can just produce. Most of the time, you need a lot of lead time to prepare (research can be a bitch), and most times, things need to be well-thought out if quality is important. I even remember beating my head to think of something new to say. Though some clients do understand the writing process, the reality is churning things out on a daily basis can be punishing for real professional writers. Especially if it's not just the only thing that needs to be done (I also have to think about those bookmarks, etc.). You don't know how especially tedious it is to work with keywords just to turn in decent work. I have writer friends especially bitch about keywords that have nouns first before adjectives, and how they need to force that phrase into a decent sentence.

On top of that, you also have to be mindful of the people reading the blog, because it has to be something that speaks about them and still manage to entertain them. And in order for you to achieve that is that you have to infuse some part of your personality (real or imagined) so that the blog some out as something worthwhile, and not just a place where you sell visitors something.

Before this gig, I have been writing for magazines and for ad agencies. And as the level of quality of work is much more refined there (well, to my experience), blogging takes more out of you because it is a demanding exercise.

That's why I feel a little disheartened that a lot of good writers I know who blog, would rather write reviews or even just write descriptions. And I feel even more disappointed when clients have unrealistic expectations with results in the blogs. Blogs takes months before it becomes viable, especially if it's adult in nature. Unless the blog has really exclusive material to work with, a minimum of three to four months is needed so that the blog can find an audience and get a proper fix in SEO. When the blogs are prematurely judged for not performing so soon, it becomes the fault of the writer.

So I could agree that it will be more difficult to get good professional bloggers because the turnaround is so quick.
