I wonder how long the people are going to let them get away with this? My guess is, until they completely rape our economies and we're facing another depression. Until then, at least in the USA, people are too indifferent to stand up for anything besides their favorite American Idol contestant.

I suspect there will be serious civil unrest in Mexico over this. It will be a military government again within a year if they're even able to remain in power.

The south without California is essentially a welfare state. Little or no production, no capital, completely uneducated public, etc. A little bit of oil is all you have.

Actually if California seperated from the USA it would be the 5th largest economy in the world. It's one of the richest states in our union, along with New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. The only hick state with any kind of economy is Florida, and that's only because it's where old people from real states go to die.
