The kid's mom went and got a permit for it though - way to go! I did lemonade stands and sold candy at school as a kid. I made a killing on the candy selling bit (can you say 200%+ profit margins?) High profit margin biz is the only way to work ;)

me too...my big $$ profit makers were the NFL football pencils! I was getting them for about 3-4 cents eachand selling the for 2/25 cents. I also did the lemonade thing, but then one upped my competition in the juvenile entrepreuer market and started offering iced tea and koolaid...blew those other little beetches out of the water.

That's a great story! The city basically thumbs its nose at the evil neighbor bitch, and the kid gets a valuable lesson in bureaucracy. She learned a lot more from this than those little snots who have mommy or daddy take the girl scout cookie order form to the office with them...not that I have any lingering childhood bitterness... :helpme

there are companies here that sweep the neighborhoods pushing carts and driving vans selling every fucking thing from corn on the cob in mexican hot sauce to bootleg compact discs and icecream. total illegal immigrant operations.

here you have to get a permit to have a yardsale because mexican families here literally open their garage up as a fucking business importing fake addidas clothes and all kinds of mexican imports man. i see them hanging dozens of shirts on their fence every saturday morning, boxes of brand new nikes and shit...its terrible, you drive by and its like a full store in someones house they get shut down ritually.
