Without that ability, crypto might as well be tokens you buy at an arcade. As it gets more and more popular, I can see countries starting to regulate it and fight against it. Government's aren't terribly welcoming to anything that causes them to cede control over the people of their country. Add in the extreme volatility of it and it makes a hard sell to many people. Honestly, I think, so long as we don't blow the world up, there will one day be a world without countries, where everyone is a global citizen and they all use some kind of decentralized cryptocurrency, but that's not going to happen in our lifetime. |
