Wow. Just wow.

There are three countries involved in NAFTA. They are Canada, United States, and Mexico. The United States has (or had) tariffs on two of the three countries involved in NAFTA.

Can you tell me which countries we had tariffs on? I'll give you a hint.... One of them is NOT the United States.

The correct answer is the United States had tariffs on Canada and Mexico. If you got the answer correct, you get a gold star!!!

Do the see the logic here? Trump was trying to get his new NAFTA passed, but there was no way in the world Canada or Mexico would approve it being as we had tariffs in place.

But it's a moot issue. The new NAFTA might pass or it might not, but all they did was take the same framework of the original NAFTA and made a few changes.

Just to give you an example of the changes, under the new plan employees who make automobiles must make $16/hour (or face a small tariff). The concept here is to make it less profitable to make cars in Mexico, or Canada. But the truth is the tariff is small and the costs will be passed onto Americans. You had a problem with math earlier, so me explain it you in simple terms....

Cars will still be made in Canada and Mexico, but will cost us more.

But Trump really needs a "win" to make it look like an accomplishment.

Hey shit for brains, you said above that Trump has decided to lift sanctions then you say it won't get approved if we have sanctions? Are you fucking kidding me, if he lifted them, then how can there still be tarrifs?

I understand it's difficult for you to understand these things.

Right now Trump has regular tariffs in place. News reports are telling us that he plans to remove them or has removed them.

However, in NAFTA 2.0 there are provisions for tariffs to automatically kick in if certain conditions aren't met. I explained it once, but perhaps if I repeat myself in a larger and bolder font it would help you to understand better.

....under the new plan employees who make automobiles must make $16/hour (or face a small tariff). The concept here is to make it less profitable to make cars in Mexico, or Canada. But the truth is the tariff is small and the costs will be passed onto Americans.

So.... tariffs were removed but will go back into place again because plants in Mexico aren't about to pay anyone $16/hour so.... Again the costs are passed onto Americans.

Sure. The agreement is twenty-five years old and needs to replaced. But Trump, because of the complete incompetence of his administration, isn't replacing it but instead keeping the basic framework in place. This will have zero impact on American jobs, zero impact on our GDP, and will raise prices (due to automatic tariffs) on some large ticket items for Americans.

This isn't a win. It's not an accomplishment. They didn't replaced it; They changed a handful of things and renamed it. In the end, it will be WORSE for Americans.

Yeah you said the same thing about an economy under Trump yet it's so good, Obama wants credit for it. Try again

This is exactly what I said. Trump remove the tariffs today (or is going to). However, new tariffs are built into the new agreement.

Again.... The agreement states something along the lines of "If car manufacturing employees are not paid a minimum of $16/hour US, their products will be subject to a certain percentage tariff". The car manufacturers will have a choice between paying their employees a lot more or passing on the costs of tariffs to Americans.

I understand it's difficult for you to understand. Trump unfairly put a tariff on cars made in Canada and Mexico, remove the tariffs in an attempt to get this passed in Canada and Mexico, and the end result is... A new tariff will go into place.

Americans will paid more for American cars made in Canada and Mexico.

Do you understand now?

Who gives a shit about cars made in Mexico, make them here. Again, all you have is conjecture. Saying I don't know what's going on doesn't make you all knowing. We don't even know everything that's in the agreement because it's not finished yet, but somehow you know, I call bullshit.

Trump walked into office with a perfect economy. Someone already posted unemployment stats during the Obama and Trump years, and you can see it was dropping for years before Trump walked into office.

This entire thread is about Trump's accomplishments. Again, I ask you - or anyone else - what has Trump done to improve the economy?

So once again, you are unable to list a single accomplishment Trump has had or anything Trump has done for the economy.

GDP isn't higher - we had higher under Obama.

Unemployment has been dropping long before Trump announced he was running.

I did that too you moron when I talked about the vets that we're killed off under Obama and his fucked up policies toward vets, I looked it up,its actually 4,000 VA employees have been fired for not doing there job, it's lit a fire under those that are still there and they're doing a great job, not a link, I have seen it. So blow it out your ass that he hasn't done anything, best thing he has done is get rid of all those EO policies that were dragging down the economy. But like I said, you ignore anything out of your realm, you even side for a party that wants to dismantle the Constitution, which you swore an oath to protect, guess your oath isn't worth shit?

As far as cut and paste, too many for that, unlike Obama where I can't name anything he did.

That's right. We had problems with the VA. That was HORRIBLE. Trump said he was going to fix that. What ever happened to that?

That's an accomplishment for Trump, right?

Trump was quick to take action, appointing Ronny Jackson to head up the VA. Never mind that he had absolutely no experience.... And together they quickly passed a law that made it easier to fire VA employees, which was already understaffed.

Huh? I never said that.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is just flat out ignoring subpoena.

But Democrats want dismantle the Constitution? Are you kidding us?

But hey, let's have another investigation!

This time we can investigate the FBI!

You are right. I took an oath. Our President is a traitor. Him and his staff worked directly the with the Russians? No collusion? Sure there is; It's right there in the Mueller report. The part where Manafort meet with the Russians and handed them polling data that the Russians then used to target... That's collusion. That's treason. Not enough? Why did the Trump campaign send this polling data WEEKLY through an encrypted app - And then delete it?

It's right there in the Mueller report. Would you like to to find it for you?

It's HUGE.

Yet you still can't get me a short hand written list that isn't a copy and paste from some Republican bullshit site.

Directly from the Mueller report:

Manafort instructed Rick Gates, his deputy on the Campaign and a longtime employee, 839 to provide Kilimnik with updates on the Trump Campaign-including internal polling data , although Manafort claims not to recall that specific instruction. Manafort expected Kilimnik to share that information with others in Ukraine and with Deripaska . Gates periodically sent such polling data to Kilimnik during the campaign.

and then....

Gates also reported that Manafort instructed him in April 2016 or early May 2016 to send Kilimnik Campaign internal polling data and other updates so that Kilimnik, in turn, could share it with Ukrainian oli archs. 888 Gates understood that the information would also be shared with Deripaska . 889 Gates reported to the Office that he did not know why Manafort wanted him to send polling information , but Gates thought it was a way to showcase Manafort 's work, and Manafort wanted to open doors to jobs after the Trump Campaign ended. 890 Gates said that Manafort 's instruction included sending internal polling data prepared for the Trump Campaign by pollster Tony Fabrizio. 891 Fabrizio had worked with Manafort for years and was brought into the Campaign by Manafort . Gates stated that, in accordance with Manafort's instruction , he periodically sent Kilimnik polling data via WhatsApp ; Gates then deleted the communications on a daily basis.

Why would they be sending polling data to anyone outside of the RNC? Don't tell me this was information in the public. If that was the case the Russians would have gotten it themselves. And if it was in the public, why were they sending it via an encrypted app and then deleting it on a daily basis?

This is treason.

This is why Manafort is sitting in jail. Gates pleaded guilty to Conspiracy against the United
States.

This is only one example of direct collusion with the Russian government.

There are many more.

(note I am copying this directly from the report which includes numbers that are footnotes)

We are now at four page and sixteen days and not one Trump nutter has returned with a short list of accomplishments that they can come up with off of the top of their head.

Nothing has been accomplished. Not a single damn thing.

He shut down the government for an entire 35 days which was the longest shut down ever. Surely Redhats will share his hand for that.

If Obama had done an eighth of what Trump said and did. The Righties would be screaming for Obama's head. What this has shown is The GOP arent patriots they are team players and as long as their team is winning that's all that matters. It's sad. The thing that bothers me when the mess happens and it all does , some how it will be the dems fault when they have no control but thats how it is for team players.

This is the problem with the Republicans. They are less interested in protecting our country or getting anything done, and much more interested in "making the other side look bad".

This was on display when they impeached Clinton. This was an investigation in which there was zero indication of a crime done by President Clinton and his wife. Instead, they asked the President, under oath, about things that had zero relevance to the investigation. They forced him into a corner when they asked him personal questions about a sexual relationship, which would have never have been permitted in a court of law. Their intention was not to get at the truth; Their only intention was to embarrass the President. There was no reason for this other than politics.

Right now the Republican party claims to be all about protecting our border. Yet this has been done so poorly that illegal immigrants are flooding the border and now claiming asylum - only to be greeted by a understaffed Border Patrol and sent into a immigration system that is completely exhausted and overwhelmed immigration system. At the same time, arrests at the border are down. This is the exact opposite situation we had under Obama where we didn't have people flooding our border, and arrests were up.

Not only are they team players their team players that break the rules and don't care about the long term consequences to their party.

Day Nineteen.

Trump promised us he would hire "only the very best people" He put Ben Carson in charge of Housing and Urban Development. His only qualification is that he once lived in Section Eight housing as a child. Yesterday, Ben Carson confused a REO with an Oreo.

Then we have Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. Her and her children had never stepped foot in a public school until she became Secretary of Education. Last month she actually tweeted children should be "free of teachers".

You can't make this shit up.

Day Twenty.

Twenty days and not a single Trump Nutter has been able to come up with a short list of accomplishments Trump has had in the past two years.

Yesterday Trump broke another campaign promise when he walked out of a meeting with Democrats. They were there to work on a infrastructure bill, a campaign promise of Trumps. Instead, he vowed yesterday to never work with the Democrats again.

Rochard, you said Trump was a traitor, committed treason, where are the charges, there are none.
You are backing a party that is actively attacking the Constitution, you are more of a traitor because of the oath you took to protect the Constitution. It was not to protect the country.
Also, I say firing 4,000 employees benefited the VA and I have seen the proof, you came back that the VA is understaffed, well that's true of every sector of the healthcare system, so what's your point? You have none!

Wouldn't it be nice to see the Democratic party legislate more and litigate less. The us needs stuff to get done, the Democratic party is doing nothing but attacking the party. They think they know what everyone wants, reminds me of the end of GOT
