Im all for him not being in the gulf

as a US Marine every time some politician came to see something everyone dropped what they were doing to clean up fix things make it look all pretty for them. So he should stay away so they can stay focused on the task at hand.

HOWEVER... people always feels the President needs to do things in these situations when really it's not even remotely within his power or even responsibilities... He's there to deal with foreign dignitaries, command the military, sign or veto bills, etc...

That's a great video to prove the President is one busy man that can handle many different affairs because he built a strong team around him. That should be something we all strive for in our business.

Clearly he has responded to the oil spill and is clearly on top of it... short of moving the white house to a command ship in the Ocean, which is completely stupid. Even if he went to the press the first day, it wouldn't have made a single bit of difference.

He prob shouldn't play so much golf, but I also don't expect him to drop everything for something he can't do much about.

This isn't anything like us being attacked by someone that requires the commander in chief to actually take charge.

That doesn't sound much like bureaucracy. It does sound like they weren't and still aren't sure if it will work or if it's a good idea at all. However the Fed has approved the sites, but the State doesn't want to fork the money over for the others. The Fed doesn't want to pay for something out of a limited fund that they don't know will work or not.

This is nothing more than two Republicans bitching when they are the bitches that could enact this without authorization from anyone.
