use a paste made of water and flour...it will give a better white color and be thick so should photograph better...
for the fruit loops, if you aren't eating them, cover them with a clear shelac or something similar...this way they won't sog...

+1 on the fruit loop anti-sog idea, but the water and flour mix will need much mixing to maintain the right consistency and will begin to clump easily.

Milk won't begin to reek for quite a few hours, so no worries there - except for cost. You can dispose of it quite easily as well. Just run a hose from the tub to the nearest drain.

Actly I'm thinking of not evn doing the Froot Loops/swimming pool shoot anymore..I got sooo much great advice and even a couple emails from people who have actly done this exact same thing so I know I would of done it right and it would of been HOT but.. the weather is getting chilly. oh god, it's soo embarrassing an NOT a good story...
You know the kind of exercise bikes that are like a chair and your legs are in front of you and you're supposed to just sit back in the chair and move your legs? Well I was trying to push it SUPER HARD and beat all of my other records on this bike (I meticulously keep track of everything I do in the gym) so I was really peddling fast, moving my entire body, pushing with my thigh and back muscles.. basically using the equip improperly.. I'm 99% sure this is what did it.. After the bike I also did some stuff w 5 lb weights and ran up and down this flight of stairs by my apartment about 10x. The next day I woke up and I couldn't fn walk and there was a bone sticking out of my spine.

Soo fn embarrassing when I tell people this story most of them say "yeah right, you hurt it on webcam didn't you? You can tell me the truth" LOL Mbe I should make up some sort of story it would def be better than this one!:)

the cereal will be soggy inside of 5 minutes girlie. trust me, i have a child. fill it with plastic balls and water. the balls you see in those kids play areas where they jump into them. it would cute, colorful and not melt away.

That apparatus is perfect for using a laptop (in bed) as you get better.

If you are serious about the Fruit Loops at any point in the future, buy 3-4 boxes and lay out a huge plastic sheet. Lay the fruit loops across in one layer.

get some clear coat paint in a spray can and paint the cereal to seal it. Let dry, then repeat on the other side.

This should solve 90% of your sogginess problem. Even if they do get water in them, the paint will help to hold the structure of the loops and keep color bleeding into the liquid at a minimum.

Skip the milk. Try a 1 pint can of latex paint - stark white of course. Add enough of the paint to the water to get the color of white that you like. I assume there may be other white colorants just as easy, but this is what comes to mind for me. If you are super environmentally conscious, you can always send the water down your toilet for filtering at the local sewage treatment plant. If it doesn't bother you, you can let the water run onto the grass and just spray it down with your hose. The paint poses no hazard to your grass or groundwater.
