Does anyone watch old Johnny Socko movies now and realize how shitty they are???

I bought a few VHS' of old Johnny Sokco and his Flying Robot videos...remembering how cool they were as a kid...

God damn, these had to be the shittiest shows in the history of mankind...don't get me wrong, I still value them for the role they played in my childhood...but damn!

They were bad, but they were a hell of a lot better than the crappy cartoons from Japan they force on kids these days. And how cool was that name? Johnny Socko and his Giant Flying Robot. Compare that with tripe like Yu-Gi-Oh.

Remember Ultraman? Another classic from around that same time.

I loved Ultraman...same thing though, bought the old tapes, and realized how damn awful it was....

I'll still take it over Pokemon or whateverthefuck the kids are into now.

I was really deprived as a child. I grew up with one TV channel. Got to see every Flinstones, Scooby Doo, and Gilligan Island episode ever made though....

I think even kids are starting to realize how crap current cartoons are.

In Canada theres an animation station called TeleToon. They've recently started showing classic Looney Tunes and its popular like a motherfucker. I overhead a little kid in the store the other day whining to his mom that he had to get home to watch The Bugs Bunny - Roadrunner hour. Now that kid has taste.

You can't watch:

Spongebob Squarepants
Invader Zim
Powerpuff Girls
Dexters Lab

And tell me cartoons today are worse than that looney tunes crap.

Cheers,
Backov

First off, Spongebob is fucking Ren and Stimpy. The same thing. The same creator. There is no difference. That's why it sucks.

The rest of the crap you labeled couldn't hold Grape Ape's, Hong Kong Phooey's, Captain Caveman's, Huckleberry Hound's, Chili Willy's, and Deputy Dog's dick!

I'g glad to hear that, it gives me hope for the future. Would you want the President of the USA in 30 years to have grown up watching Powerpuff girls and pokeman? That would scare me for some reason.
