I know and it was with the same company cologroup.
I know it's gone....I didn't even counted on it getting it resolved
but I continued to just show everybody what kind of business
they are.......that's a no business.

I will seek alternative options to claim damages as I think this is
not an error but fraud.

From my lurking I can see the basis of the argument. Some stupid spic who could not afford a backup ISP like any self-respecting webmaster has, is pissed that he screwed himself. I also notice him making blatent threats towards cologroup. I also see he is not college educated as he does not understand Business Marketing 101 which states 'any publicity is good publicity'.

Anybody worth a crap uses managed DNS nowadays. I know people, and have read this on many BBS's. I didn't install your box. An outside contractor built your operating system and did not label it. I know where the machine was obviously but it seems the fashion to backstab me rather than ask me 8-/

As for labeling, I can only reflect on the 5 hours of downtime experienced at the end of October when none of the new crew bothered to label a single machine prior to a transfer in LA. I had requested every machine be labeled after an install and my instructions were ignored over the course of months. To be accused of the very sloppiness so persistent in the techs simply highlights their weak attempt to taint my work with their errors.

By the way Jason did not update the machine database to match the customer database. It was only remedied when I would do a manual inventory of machines with no matching customer, or discover a customer who had left. So again if he had simply done his work he would know the name of your machine. Think for a moment. If the machine is named 'mickey mouse' it doesn't matter so long as it is entered in the database. Who entered the account information? Jason. Who refused to update the machine database with information only he had?

Simply Jason had your acount information, he had you listed as leasing a machine, and yet he never got around to finding it's name. Usually only after I did a survey every quarter did I force the old data out typically by asking Jason dozens of questions over the period of a week.

BTW simply by knowing your IP a competent tech can find your machine PHYSICALLY. Of course if they don't know what they are doing then they might end up blaming the former.

As for labels, I started the trend in the local colo and my label maker became so popular that I had to make a few trips to buy more tapes. Unfortunately this trend didn't catch in L.A.
