And no I wouldn't vote Republican, I wouldn't vote Democrat either, they are the SAME Party (and no I don't mean "all politicians are the same"), and I can name the individuals and the processes that made that happen. Those who coined neo-conservatism and than went on to make it a force within the Republican part, those who wrote the rules to ensure no viable third party could form or be included in the debates, etc, etc. Lets say I feel confident in saying I know slightly more than you on this topic, and it isn't even my country and I've paid hardly more than a casual interest. Hell a part of me (if actually truly cared for America) hopes Obama demolishes McCain so the true conservatives can pull back the Republican party and make it something worth voting for. Anyway last comment for this thread I think. |

I cant vote for a guy that admits he's not qualified for the job, just because I hate Bush.
I was on the fence until I saw this video....though I'm a bit worried about his age, I'm willing to go with proven experience and hope to god nothing happens to him, but im a gambler. https://youtube.com/watch?v=5BnLozS-TnM I wouldn't blame anyone for voting Obama though, either one is screwed with all they inherit from the Bush administration. I worry about pulling out of Iraq though. It was a mistake, but bailing now will will just pave the way for the next Sadam. To the peeps posting Bush pix... wtf - is he running? I hate Bush also, but to me it seems very "bush like" to liken the 2. They couldn't be more opposite. While bush was partying it up stateside, McCain was fighting for your freedom in Vietnam, then in a war camp being tortured. Nothing in my eyes, is more noble than a veteran. My father and his father both fought for America. So if he looses, in which it looks like he will, please give him the respect of not likening him to GWB . One other thing, where where you guys 4 years ago? My Stace is in the GFY archives. |
If you're going to beat mccains war drum, maybe you should read a little about the man you love.

And saying I don't know anything about the political system in my own country is pretty short sighted on your part. You have no idea who I am or what I know. Now, if you were saying I had no idea how the political system worked in australia, you'd be 100% correct because I could care less if you are electing dingos to run your country. :thumbsup |
I'm voting for Obama because he's black......Nobody will make me vote any different once I hit that voting booth.

"HONOLULU -- The state's Department of Health director on Friday released a statement verifying the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama birth certificate.
The state has received multiple requests for a copy of Obama's birth certificate. State law does not allow officials to release the birth certificate of a person to someone outside of the family. There were rumors that Obama was born in Kenya, where his father is from. The Constitution requires that the president be a natural born citizen of the U.S. While many sites and news organizations have released copies provided by the Obama campaign, the rumors have persisted. "There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama's official birth certificate. State law (Hawai'i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record," DOH Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said. "Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai'i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai'i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama's original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures. No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai'i," Fukino said. Multiple lawsuits were filed to try and force Obama to provide proof of citizenship. Earlier Friday, a southwest Ohio magistrate rejected a challenge to Obama's U.S. citizenship. Judges in Seattle and Philadelphia recently dismissed similar suits. " - http://www.kitv.com/politics/1786089...s=hon&psp=news |

Though, of course black people are going to vote for someone who they feel they can relate to the most and will hold their interests moreso than other candidates, and Obama, being black is that candidate. Myself being white, I would still vote Obama if I could as I feel he is the better candidate for reasons which him being black, have nothing to do with. As for Obama's white heritage.. there is no denying his is mixed. His mother is white, his father is black. However people who are of mixed race will often identify with the race they resemble the most, in Obama's case, thats black. I don't see any problem with that. |
