Your talking about the Holocaust like you believe a handful or even tens of thousands could have prevented it. Newsflash - Most households had hunting rifles, and the Holocaust still happened. If you think ten thousand people with hunting rifles and handguns is going to stop an army with tanks and machine guns, well, your on crack. Don't be mistaken and believe that the US Government is afraid of the general population because we have a few handguns.

Well said Roc. I think when it was written it was muskets against muskets but it hasnt been that way for a long long time.

Since more than one of you took what I said to mean that, let me clarify.

The reason I brought up the holocaust was not because I thought guns would have prevented it. I brought up how recently it happened to illustrate the immaturity of our society and the danger citizens can still face from their loving big brother.

I agree a government can't be "afraid" of anyone. Its not a person with emotions.

I also agree that you can't stop a tank with guns... you can stop a tank without anything at all. You only have to reach the man inside the tank.

Gun nuts actually believe the US governemnt is afraid. What's sad is the same people are supposedly the most supportive of the troops yet they think these same troops suck so bad they can be defeated by a bunch of Bubbas with shotgund and deer rifles.

actually my cousin gave them to me as a gift hes stationed in japan U.S. navy and i only would shoot if im in danger or my family or if need be defend my country :winkwink:

The shooters brother says the shooter was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder from a break-in last december.

Certainly not trying to side with the shooter as he obviously went way way way overkill, but supposedly he was there with a woman and a 2 year old girl , and they see a van pullup and 3 black guys in masks run up to the door. He wasn't high on drugs but did have several convictions for them , curiously the woman ran away with 7 grand in cash leaving her 2 year old daughter .
