POLL:poll: What is the ideal number of blogposts to have on a blog?

Just wondering, because it seems like a valid question.
And I once heard that blogposts only get indexed as a page when they move off the index, if this is true then you surely want as few as possible.

BUt I don't know.

On some blogs I have my posts getting indexed hours later. On others they get indexed after they off the index. I try to keep the number of posts per page small.

I didn't get your question. Do you mean ideal number of blogposts to have on one page, like index, category page?

If we are talking about pr. page, I go with what the sidebar permits. Some blogs have up to 18 posts on one page, others have 5. I try to avoid having a long blank sidebar or having a sidebar that's longer than the page.

If it's total posts, the more the merrier?

I almost always go with the 10 posts per page.
