Do you any of you donate part of your profits to anything?
I was thinking of having a poll each month where my members choose a charity and then I donate like 5-10% of my profits for that month to the charity.

What do you guys think?

Just make sure you don't get problems with the Charity itself.

We had a charity drive for a home less shelter on my site 3 years ago. We collected over 500.00. When we donated it to the charity the media got wind of it and it was not nice what I went thru, because the money came from a porn site.

The charity actually didn't want to accept it after the media put them thru a wringer.

So we stopped doing it.

I guess now its easier most Charities take online payments

Why not start a charity for all of the poor surfers that some of our mates continually rip off with deceptive Terms & Conditions, fake FREE VIP Memberships that leave the surfer signing up for an instant pay membership...and so on and so on.

I always find it ironic that a business that is built on fraud and deception finds it noble to donate to "worthy causes" when perhaps the best charity work we could do is to quit screwing thousands of individuals on a daily basis.

charitable donations aren't necessary at all for taxes - money given to charities could be taken out in income. Money is given to charities because people care. I gave money to charities when I made very little income cause it made me feel good. I give a lot more now, but percentage of my income it's actually less than when I was poor.

It would appear that I am doing something....let's see...I discontinued promoting any sites that I found disagreeable...and let them know that this was the reason why I was no longer using them..I post on this board...knowing that I will get a bunch of lame comments back which do nothing to dispel the fact that this industry needs a severe cleaning up... If you don't have any..then congrats..if you do...then I would hope that they too follow your claimed ethics...
