Holy shit, this ias how out of touch with reality govt lobbyists are..
Check this quote out.. This is Paul Miller, past president of the American League of Lobbyists. He's talking about a bill that is being put in front of the American people bypassing lobbyist totally and allowing US citizens to directly say how they want it written.
"I don't think the way you advocate is to put everything online and say, 'All right American people, weigh in on that,' because then what's next?" Miller asked. "Are we going to let the American people decide our defense policy, our trade policy, our immigration policy?" OMFG I can't believe this guy is that fucking stupid to actually say this.. http://www.statesman.com/news/conten...3sunlight.html

A lobbyist isn't there to balance a budget.. They are there to lobby specific bills for special interests.

The problem is that most (not all) Americans are total fucking tools who don't have a clue what is really going on. They live in a world of lies that are force fed to them and are honestly uneducated about the world outside of what they have brainwashed into believing, that they are superior to everyone and are in better shape than the rest of the world. "theking" is a prime example of one of these people. ;-) "Pigshit" is believe is the term he would use for such a claim.
I would prefer to NOT have these fools dictating the country. It's already fucked, no reason to unfuck things now or make it worse than it already is. If the American people wanted to do something, they could ALL just stop filing taxes for starters. If they can get together on that one, then and only then would I have a little faith in them. Hell, they could even... and I know it's reaching, but they could all VOTE!!!! But sadly they are more interested in Brittney Spears than having control of their lives. For the best I think. Keep them dumb and complacent. |

Think you missed my point. The lobbyist is saying that the American people cannot make decisions on a lot of different complex government decisions. He is right.

So much for representation...
Of course the founders never intended for idiots to get a vote or representation. Only land owners could vote for a long time. |

The average American can't figure out that he won't be making $4000 more a month in 5 years when his ARM adjusts.
