I think all the posting about our cross sell with brazzers sparked it.

Will this mean more pre-checked cross sells for Twisty's? Maybe a TwistysTube.com site launch filled with exclusive Twistys vids? (the domain is available, btw).

I noticed Brazzers is also a member of RemoveYourContent. Kind of ironic in a "I don't care if you steal their content, just don't steal mine" sorta way.

I like Twistys. I hope whatever business decisions you make work out great, but that Twistys doesn't just become another typical site that surfers learn to steer clear of, because of something it's business partners (cross sells) do.

Shap why haven't you addressed the cross-sale question. In the past you were absolutely vehement chastising Epoch and any program that utilized pre-checked x-sales.

I addressed this about 6 pages ago. We ran tests to see what effect adding a cross sell would have to us. After all our tests we haven't had any negative experiences so we decided to continue going with it.

I cannot believe someone that was so vehement on this issue has done a 180 like this and that you actually believe this. They aren't complaning because
a) People that buy porn are alot of the times privy to it and don't want to make a fuss about it so their wife/familly whatever knows about it.
b) They aren't even sure what to do about it
c) Doing chargebacks is not looked good upon by your bank, even when you're in the right. Try doing few chargebacks in few months, see what they say. With the amount of "pre-checked" sales that people get screwed on, and the amount of fraud that goes along (cc's get stolen constantly), alot of the guys have already done few of these.
d) The amount that they get charged is not something to go estatic over ($40), and is most of the times not even worth all the fuss about it. I've been burned for "alot" more then that and i didn't think it was worth persuing, but chalked it to experience.
e) All of the inexperienced users won't even notice the pre-check, and sometimes won't even notice the extra charge of $40 on the cc, only because people are not educated enough. You do customer service, check the questions that alot of them ask. Most of the times, questions are very vey basic ("how do i record a video" or something like that).

All in all, with your previous stance shown quite clearly, you know there is no rational explanation to PRE-CHECK the cross-sell other then to make more money for you and screw the surfer.

I'm in this business to make money. I'm sure you are as well. I was strongly against cross sells in the past. I had many conversations with people that had used them for years and was explained the full picture of them. That includes conversations with the processors themselves. I now have cross sells on our join page as do the majority of programs in the industry. I guess you can just say I got with the program.

PS: I know some of you may not agree with with SHap on this however he knows what he is doing. I am glad he pulled out of Red tube after ralising they were gaming em. i raised a brow about it when this thread started and quickly REALLISED rEDtUBE WAS FUCKING WITH EM. SO it was just a matter of time till he pulled the plug on them.

Maybe RedTube will tighten its stuff together and they will be an affiliate again in the right way and still some of you wont agree with it...

You think you can make a better program than what he has going in the current business climate then go for it, but I seriously doubt any of you could follow his trail.

My question has nothing to do with shap or twistys or their business practices... but when did you become such a brown noser? I had a lot more respect for you when you were a little bit crazy but at least voiced your opinion no matter what people thought... now seems that every post you make is brown nosing somebody...
