Why Blogs Have Such High Page Rank?

Ive noticed so many blogs have PR of 7 plus....... why do so many have such high page rank?

Maybe its obvious but i dont get it.

Because they have lots of incoming and outgoing links and relevant content and lots of it. Good ones at least.

Because in theory they have higher information value and are less spammy than regular sites. That is the general idea.

I agree with the first response. It's all about the links when it comes to pagerank. It comes down to the quality of your inbound links (their PR) and also the relevancy (content)

#1 - inbound links from feed aggregators
#2 - a lot of internal links (this does counts too) from categories, related posts, etc...
#3 - relevancy (i'm not sure this has any direct effect on PR, except some quality content people are linking to)
#4 - auto pingbacks (inbound link from a site that quoted yours)
