The American public doesn't worry over other countries problems. Our government puts their nose in all kinds of foriegn stuff they have no business doing, but the American people normally don't care.

That's why it's strange to us to see so many foreigners overly obsessed and know every detail about the US when we don't even care.

Also it seems that a lot of European contries know exactly what was invented in their country and what food they create and so on, while again it doesn't make a difference to us who invented what.
