Rocky Balboa.......My Qwicky Review: NO SPOILERS
A good way to end the franchise, on a positive note instead of a bumb note as the last few Rocky movies were bad. Very similar to "Star Wars" that way, in that Sith was preceded by two stinkers, and thank god ended the franchise on a high note.
Same with Rocky Balboa. This is not a fantastic movie, but its a very good reminder as to why we loved Rocky in the first place. Some of the dialogue that Stallone has Rocky saying is downright inspired, and not hyped up or overblown. The fight in the end, was almost anti-climactic, because the story was very strong and well written. So, yes its a good movie, and I'd have to say easily the second best in the Rocky series. No, it doesn't come close to the original, but hey, not many sports movies out of them all really do. If you love Rocky, and Rocky not being a caricature or fighting a Vince McMahon creation, and you can relate to him, you'll really like this movie. |

About the same review I heard this afternoon.
They say it's the best Rocky movie since the first one.

So, are you saying only delusional Italian males with an urge to fight dig this movie?

I think Rocky III is my favorite. I watched it today, and cried when Mick died. Fuck that is a sad scene!
