Netpond flat boards? Those guys must be old. :)

Damn old. lol Cant believe how long ago that was now.

We opened the boards late 99, early 2000, after Nick made the public board, and Serge came over.

I remember asking that old bastard to review my site, and being one of the first to post on the flat public board.

Not too long after, we had an AVS, TGP, Noob, Womens' board, and gambling for a short while.

It seems a lifetime ago.

Some may be lethargic, but I have no doubt that others take action but just don't make it a point to come to the boards and post about it.

Maybe some "old schoolers" don't owe you or anyone a public statement about what courses of action they're taking?

I still check stuff out...... I think most people moved on to different avenues once adult started to get too busy and harder to make good $$$.

I think if you take all the guys/gals from 2001 and trace where they all are now, would probably be a pretty decent little who's who. Lots of reps that own good companies now, small fish that learned and became their own whales.

Experiences all lead to something better. And yes GFY was a fuckin very useful tool back in the day. Still keep in touch with lots of peeps from this board.

Maybe not. It could just as easily be that many didnt see the thread because they no longer surf this board as much as they use to. It use to be a small percentage of the GFY threads were relevant to the biz, nowadays is a fraction of that small percentage.

You are right David, there are many owners who use to post that now just glance because of the lack of business threads.

The other thing is many companies use to be smaller, take TopBucks for example, we use to be like 10-15 strong when we started, now we have grown to 70+. The people in the light has changed, more account managers and such have given the bosses less to worry about on GFY.

when we had our spat with ynot, circa 1999 we made netpond, when I was bored, I made Topniche, when lensman opened GFY, I helped my friend out with piss and posts.
Now what? haha

I found GFY from a Google search I did when I was trying to get some info during the IPSP meltdown in 2002. It's been melting down ever since...

Before that the only thing I read was Andy Dunn's Sex Swap news letter.
