RSS question - more help required.

All - I was wondering round and looking at the code I would place into my HTML page to drag in RSS content from a feed.

It appears that the browser executes some Script which pulls the content from the feed, and then sends it to the screen as though it was part of the original HTML content.

My question/confusion is this.

If an SE spider reads my page, and does not execute the Script - then the page will be indexed in the SE - but the content from the feed will not be taking into consideration in the ranking process.

Is this true - or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?

Cheers
MrChips.

if the content isn't hard coded into the html then the spider won't take it into consideration.

Agreed.. unless the rss feeds are placed using java scripts...

I've done spider tests with my sites where I use php scripts and the feeds are read as part of the source..

I use this script on some sites..
Just slap the rss url in the php file and play with the template a bit and all done.. Works well with the ImLive feeds..
