Keep in mind the prices for private chat too - I've seen a few on Cams.com at $6.99/minute while on some other sites you can get the same girl (or a reasonable hand-drawn fascimile) for less than half that.

For every site you can point out a few things that would turn surfers off - Cams.com is no different. Stop pointing out every minor detail you don't like, there's a reason they are so big and profitable!

Imho, the biggest factor is the price point - and if you're sending "cheap" customers, this is not the site to do it. If I was pushing Cams.com hard I'd be qualifying surfers first (e.g. upselling in a paid/members area).

And again, DON'T FOCUS ON CONVERSION RATES!
If I did, I would have pulled the links to Flirt4Free a few years ago, but every month I steadily see my profit from them rise and I'm thankful I ignored the CR! Sites like these take time and you will eventually snag a few whales.

I'd suggest going back, taking a good look at your traffic and see how you can make it work for you best

i sent cams.com so far this month 11677 uniques, 34474 refers, 1002 free signups, 1:11 free signup ratio, and this adds up to a big fat 0 profit....

How on earth could not make a paying customer out of 1002 interested members. I guess i'll see if it does anything over the long term for me. But so far clickcash.com stomps em to dust.

So in other words until July 28 someone would sign up at cams.com and actually purchase something, but because they didn't use those credits yet you got paid nothing. That of course is bullshit since Cams.com already got their money. WTF difference does it make if the person EVER uses those credits? That's like carsaleman not getting paid his commission even though he made a sale because the new car owner just lets his car sit in the garage.

Well after stopping the traffic pretty much with the same stats somebody out of the blue bought 50.00 worth of credit, i made 10.00 on it. But that was easily 1500.00 worth of traffic, if not more.

The whole point of this though is to not bash cams.com but to help out my fellow webmasters, if i could find some honest info on cams.com before i started i would have never sent them traffic, so now people can see its just not worth it. Even with quality paying traffic from a membership section theres much better higher paying cam networks out there.

IMO, dont waste your traffic with cams.com.

i dont have mine for the first period of july yet, so maybe it's like that for everyone
