Your Favorite Hotel ?

So here I am in my 7th hotel of then month and it got me thinking of the best places I get to stay ....

The Delano at South Beach has to be my top spot, and I was there again earlier this month with my girlfriend...

But the Grand Sofitel near the Redlight District in Amsterdam is also a very cool abode.

What's your favorite ?

Almost any of "The W hotels" or any of the Ian Schrager places for that matter - just dig the vibes there.

Delano rocks BTW

Good call, one the better places in Angeles, and close enough to the action to be cool, but far enough away to relax totally.

And that fucking huge pool.

Absolutely - most of the starwood properties are fantastic. As a fellow starwood hotel whore I tend to expect a high standard now

However the WORST hotel I think is W New york ..possibly W Atlanta too.

I particularly like staying at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Baltimore, it is a beautiful hotel right outside the bay. I really love staying there when Otakon is going on, so much hot jailbait ass that shows up for that thing it?s crazy.

Poolside Bungalow at the Delano is still my favorite after 10 years.

But... the Madinet Jumeirah in Dubai easily beats it overall. The Delano is just a bit more easy to access for me here in the US

Here's some pics from the last time I stayed at The Madinet Jumeirah

I second that. I have a soft spot for the Hotel Krasnapolsky as well. If you want an "American" feel, the Hotel Pulitzer is very nice.

One day I will live in Amsterdam...I absolutely love it there.

There are 4 or 5 W's in New York though ... I stayed in the Penthouse on Lexington after having an accident requiring stiches just below my eye in one of their rooms New Years Eve 3-4 years ago. (they actualy paid for my whole trip, rental car, flight and then SOME!)

The original room was like a fucking shoe box but most all NY hotels have tiny rooms. Penthouse was fuckin' DOPE!

The following year I stayed at the W Times Square and the room was decent size and I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and my stay.

I forget which one Pornwolf has mentioned in the past - I think it's The W Union Square - and I'd take his word on most travel related destinations.

I liked the Sofitel in DC. TheHotel is still the best for the price, IMO.

Savoy in London used to be good but I've heard they've gotten really crappy over the years. Sad because it was a grand old dame

Malmaison, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, North East England. Not a particularly exotic location or anything like that but I love Newcastle and the level of service and the personal touch make it tops for me.

Seriously ?

Fly to Manila, capital of the Philippines.

Book rooms at the Orchid in Angeles City.

Contact the helpful boys at http://www.margarita-station.com/angeles.html and they will have a car pick you up at the airport in Manila and drive you to Angeles City (about 2.5 hours or so north) and drop you at the Orchid. Same goes for getting back for your flight out. Costs about $40 for each trip and includes a cooler full of San Miguel to get you through the drive as a warm up.

Don't forget to drop in and see Tom and the Bedrock Bar on Fields Ave and tell him Lindsay sent you ;-)

Have fun.

Have fun.

Hmm, the Philippines were one of the next places on my list of places to visit anyway, so I guess I'll have to check this one out

Great resort!

Atlantis is like an adult playground. I went there solo and stayed for 2 weeks once. Whatever you wanna do you can. Want to fuck a chick in the underwater aquarium... no problem. How about banging a broad from behind on a suspended rope bridge next to a waterfall... done.

I love that place. I thought it was the best resort experience til I got to Dubai. Those wacky Arabs are unstoppable.
