crossing the border to canada, what do i need?
some poeple say drivers licence some say 2 forms of id. some people say birth certificate. Please respond if you KNOW for sure.
i found this online: Q. What identification do I need to cross the border? A. Two forms of identification are required, one preferably with a photo. It is advisable to carry identification that indicates citizenship (i.e. birth certificate, baptismal certificate or passport). All Children under 18, whether or not traveling with their parents, must have identification. When travelling with others a note from parents/guardian is recommended. It is also advisable to supply a telephone number so that those travel arrangements can be confirmed by the Customs Agent. would that mean my fathers V.A. Card and his Licence would do? And my social security card would work for me? Heading up there to fight in a jiujitsu tournament and my dads hearts gonna be broke if he cant go watch hehe, not enuff time to get birth certificate. thanks guys AC

If you have a passport that is all you need.
Otherwise I would take whatever you have. SS, Drivers license, Military ID. You can never have to much. Also depends on where you are crossing. Hope that helps. |
