so i need to scan my ID blah blah blah.....

my only concern is why epass didn't include it on TOS or FAQ ? also amazingly when client applying in epass , no identification ID require then when problems strikes they need identification ID...

keyser said "sorry , RULES is RULES" .

The rules are you have to send it either a copy of your ID or the middle 8 digits of your load card to change your email address.
The form you filled out were incomplete, if you return the form I send to you last night with a copy of goverment ID we can change your email.

This is to protect everyone so we are sure it is the card holder that changes the email address on the account. If setup a domain with your whois info you don't want me to be able to change your email to one of my own emails and then access your account do you?

Kandah, why do you only use ePassporte? Because as you said in your ICQ log, you don't haven't put it in the bank and report it for taxes?

You're losing business. Offer another legitimate payment option. They're out there. I'll be nice and won't hijacks Aaron's thread and won't spam an option.

I'd not buy the content because it's not in my niche, but if it was, when there is an offer that is that cheap, everyone and their dog buys it and that just oversaturates the content on every blog, TGP, etc.

Most webmasters have no clue about 2257 and aren't in compliance, and if you're selling to newbies and assuring them things are compliant (you use a company name for custodian of records, which is a Federal violation of law) and they aren't, how fair is that they should just trash some sets they paid for because they may not be in compliance? Whether they paid a buck for the set or a thousand bucks, it's the principle of it.

The thing that bothers me most about your statements are that you've been assured by providers their content is compliant. Have you actually gone over the documentation carefully?

Just based on what I've seen here, with you admitting the content "may" not be full compliant, I know I'd never buy from you nor would I recommend you to anyone, even if you were selling 1000 sets for a buck to newbies who need content. You're outside the USA so don't care but it's a mandatory jail sentence and until the law is overturned or changed significantly, ignorance is not a defense.

Proof that there is, in fact, intelligent life here at GFY. :thumbsup

I accept all major creditcards as well. I just didnt want to go throgh the trouble of setting it up for Aaron because he is a class A asshole.

As for the content, tops 1-2 of my sets are non compliant (even though they have documents). If you dont like it dont buy it, after all its less than a dollar a set.

If you put everyones business under close examination I can assure you there is something to find if you look hard enough. Throw the first stone...

I never said anything about close examination.....I'm willing to bet that most of your content is not compliant under a basic examination.

How can I be so sure of this?

BECAUSE BY YOUR OWN ADMITANCE YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR COMPLIANCE.

And yet you still come here and claim to be compliant. If you would spend 1/2 the time fixing the problem as have have spent arguing about it then you would probably have compliant content by now.

And yes, I will be reminding people of your non-compliance any and every time I see your company name mentioned.....Because I'm a prick like that. :winkwink:

AaronM 04-22-2006 08:18 AM

In fact...I may even take out some GFY banner ad space to make sure everybody knows.

I wonder if they will allow that? :1orglaugh

Keyser says the 3 day thing is a new rule to prevent fraud.....That's understandable but why is it not mentioned in their TOS? Oh yeah...Because they suck.

So basicly you sign up for something you need now, but you gotta wait 3 days to use it... pretty stupid rule IMO, and probably cuts out only 0.1 % of their total fraud.

Nicky 04-22-2006 08:26 AM

Sweden a high-risk country? Watch me laugh my ass off :1orglaugh

But did you do that? No, instead you are sitting at your computer trying to do damage control because you KNOW that you are not compliant.

Again......

PROVE ME WRONG.

I'd be here doing damage control even thought I was compilant ...

Well, I saw the Visa and Mastercard logo on your site, so that means you have a merchant account, right? Otherwise it's against card association rules to use the logos.

You need to remember that even an asshole's cash is green.

But chargebacks suck and can adversely effect your rates and ability to even process transactions.

I've been using my own merchant account for content sales for close to 5 years now. I've never had a single chargeback and only one fraudulent purchase.

ePassporte isn't foolproof. If someone pays a merchant with fraudulent funds, i.e. funded with a stolen card, for example, the merchant's account will be put "on hold" until it's all straightened out and can be closed for fraud.

This board is full of people who have complained when it happened to them as they thought it was foolproof.
