quit smoking, been two weeks, these really helped (link)

I've tried many times over the years, but this one is finally the real deal ... so incredibly happy and relieved, everyday I am just happy to not be smoking regardless of whatever else is going on in my life. It has seriously changed everything for the better and it's only been two weeks!

Anyway, these really seemed to help me when I needed that oral-fixation-fix:

Thanks guys!

And to those trying to quit, I don't think there is an "easy answer", but the tea-tree chewing sticks really do take the edge off....

Congrats ... quiting smoking is a very hard thing to do. You should be proud of yourself. Stay stong and don't cave. If you can do 2 weeks, you can do anything.

I'm not even a smoker anymore but I might just order these anyways. Who doesn't like good breath.

Congrats!! I'm a smoker too, and so far, i'm slowly cutting down. Especially knowing now that the cigs in our state will be going up in price, ($8.00 for a pack of cigs) in a couple of weeks.

I found them at a little health food store while on a trip to Eugene. Oregon. Bought 5 packs after enjoying the first one, and glad I did because I haven't seen them anywhere else yet.

Not sure why they don't have the Cinnamon flavored ones on the site as well, those are my favorites. If anyone finds them elsewhere on the net let us know in this thread

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!

I quit smoking Dec 27th 2005. I went through Vegas AVN, and Internext, was an experience. Been going strong since, and haven't looked back. I smoked since I was 14, now 37. Did it with the Laser Acupuncture while in Vegas.

Good for you, it's been over 3 months now, I haven't had an urge to smoke in R-n knows how long.

That's awesome Anthony, congratulations!! I've heard really good things about that laser treatment, seems to have an amazingly high success rate and works after just one treatment for certain people. Weird and very cool mix of ancient Eastern philosophy and modern technology!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep going hun, its been two weeks, you're golden now!!

in 13 days, it'll be ONE YEAR since i quit cold turkey (i was smoking 2 packs a day for years). I just got tired of it all...not to mention HOW MUCH MONEY I SAVED EACH MONTH (over $200 a month). So what i did was, I told the boyfriend that we can get a better place to live (smoke free) and i'll put the $200 i WAS using for cigs towards rent (so we could get a really nice place).

Again, CONGRATS and KEEP GOING STRONGGG!!!!!

I quit cold turkey about 4 months ago. I was smoking less than a pack a day but it was still hard. I was lucky I caught a cold and that help diminish my cravings a lot. I didn't use a patch or anything else. I still crave it. Specially after a big meal. But it gets easier every day. The best thing to do is to keep yourself busy. If you get the cravings bad just go outside for a brisk walk or a bike ride. Replace the act of smoking with something else that is satisfying. Gradually your body learns to get off on healthy things. I had forgotten how good a glass a cold V8 tastes. Smoking is the only regret I'll ever have but I'm glad I finally kicked it.

I just quit a week or so ago cold turkey
had good incentive to quit.

the doctor told me I had COPD and possibly may have lung cancer in the lower quadrant of my left lung.
Now its a bunch of test to find for sure, then treatment I guess if it is.
but no more smoking even if it isn't the cancer.

I went cold turkey about a year ago and haven't looked back, sure I've had a few here and there but nothing serious. I don't get sick as much, no more coughing up black shit and I feel great! When I try to smoke a cig now it's hard for me to even finish it, they just taste nasty now. Congrats on quiting.

Sounds a little goofy, I know. Of course, if you're not ready, nothing will make you quit, but if you are then these can help a little bit. And every little bit counts, ya know?

I just ordered 16 boxes from: http://smallplanethealth.com/index.php?pid=3329

Some for me, and the rest going to friends who have tried to quit repeatedly and need a little extra something to take the edge off...

Who else can say they've spent $45 on toothpicks in one transaction?

Yep really used them. Actually ordered them from here though: http://smallplanethealth.com/index.php?pid=3329

They are not a "miracle" drug or anything, I don't think such exists, but they did really help me.

The cinnamon ones have very strong flavor, pretty much masks the tea tree oil, perhaps enough that your husband wouldn't mind them.

Congrats, keep it up!

They say two weeks is all you have to get to before the addiction is totally out of your body.

I quit right before thanksgiving and have had three drunken puffs since then on separate occations. I won't have another, because it's just to dangerous to me falling back into it.
