I use namecheap for searching and have had no problems. They also have a bulk search feature.
For bulk searches I also use Watch My Domains.Excellent software.

Why the heck would you wait a week on a name you found that was a good one?

And you should stop searching on sites that snoop users searches.

At least you a sense of humor unlike that fuck taboo who takes him self way to seriously. Anyways....what do you suggest in searching?

Also to everyone else...thanks for the suggestions....but as of right now I don't trust anyone. Just like said above I may have to seize the moment.

I believe the expression you are looking for is "Carpe Domainum!" :thumbsup

KingK7 03-22-2006 11:03 AM

Yeah, had the same thing happen with whois.sc
Was registered within the same day

u-Bob 03-22-2006 11:22 AM

why do you keep using whois.sc? It's a well know fact that they 'steal' domains....

webair 03-22-2006 11:25 AM

that should be soooo illegal

mrkris 03-22-2006 11:34 AM

I know the owner of whois.sc heh

Brujah 03-22-2006 12:47 PM

I don't believe your story.

wyldblyss 03-22-2006 12:56 PM

I don't take the chance anymore. When I am looking for domains I have my credit card beside me to scoop that baby up immediately.

Why don't you believe him Bru? I've had same thing happen to me also, as have a lot of domain hunters.

These fucks at some of the registrars are snooping the search logs and then grabbing good ones.

Brujah 03-22-2006 01:07 PM

KRL, I've tested some, for a few days back early in the month and found no evidence that the names were getting registered ( and should have ). All made up, and a few with overture for the words.

that often seems to happen on decent domains.

if you've a domain in mind, buy it quick or expect it to go

Very well put KRL.

Let me add, trust no one when it comes to domains. Actually, in business advance information is the holy grail of competitive advantages. There is too much money in domain speculation to trust anyone. I don't care how "honest" you think a person is, if you tip them to a good domain it will be gone. It's pretty much all very shady. Protect your neck.

Verbal 03-22-2006 01:25 PM

It can't be stolen if you never owned it in the first place ... not to be a dick man, but if you find a good domain, register it right away.

Konda 03-29-2006 07:21 AM

you can get the daily whois.sc whois request list easially, so if you lookup something and don't register it the chance is big that someone will register it if its a good domain

Marshal 03-29-2006 07:41 AM

can we search for bulk of shitty domains? :1orglaugh

smashface 03-29-2006 07:58 AM

Young,

I would use my own whois script based on http://www.internic.net/whois.html. That has to be the closest thing to neutral available.
