Which one do you like better so far?

Should I go with one of these two looks, or should I keep trying? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

First one is nice. White space is always better.

change the color of the gradient across the address bar in #1 and also change the "color change button" which im assuming thats what home is. Go for a shade of grey maybe?

I think I'm just gonna build on #2 with the colour splash... can't seem to come up with anything better atm.
