i have seen the members areas of some of these solo sites, and many are pathetic. Some don't even update, but many webmaster are stupid and don't pay attention

I believe a much better approach to maximizing the single girl site concept is assembling a network of such sites, e.g. Lightspeed, Bad Girl. While the product can be high grade, it is still a commodity. The more you have, the more you can sell. Single girl sites play on the individual tastes of the surfer. Since those tastes are varied, the supply should be varied.

1. Create an overall brand (separate from any individual model).
2. Select models that fit that brand.
3. Develop the individual models as a product to push the brand.
4. Continue to create new and update current product.
5. Reach critical mass in terms of exclusive content library so content can be repurposed, e.g. dvds, print magazines, calendars, cable tv, cellular/pda.
6. Create a free/one-time payment community based around the product to retain userbase.

Ours all have different designs, in fact by 3 different designers. I don't consider them cookie cutters. We start with at least 20-30 sets and update weekly. But I do understand what you are saying.

The sites are popular with smaller programs because they're very cheap to produce compared to a large multi-model site with all exclusive content, and therefore are very low risk.

For $200 you can get an amateur 18 year old hottie (more often an average looking girl) that's working retail to stand there and look pretty for a day while someone snaps a few hundred photos of her, enough to start the site and make updates for a month or so.

For another $300 someone kicks out a cookie cutter site tour. Traffic gets thrown at it and if it doesn't convert well then it's on to the next one. Minimal investment and minimal risk.

Lightspeed doesn't follow that business model, and from what I've seen of getnaughtycash that guy looks to have his shit together as well. Tons of these little ccbill sites though seem to be following this example, but the big programs have enough sense to not waste their time on poorly conceived sites and instead wait for hot girls that convert with well designed sites.

Our first (and so far.... only) sologirl site will be like any future ones we make... The model will be totally involved with at least 2 live webcam shows each week, and while we'll shoot like crazy to protect ourselves if (when) they leave we won't be doing any that are a flash in the pan. Shooting a few hundred sets/scenes of a model for hourly may be a money making business model, but it's not one I'd ever pursue. Been around since '97, and quality counts... or at least it does to me.

I wish more of these solo girls would offer live cams/chat - nothing retains like interaction. And a good way to take a cookie cutter site and make it stand out - I mean, how many photos or teasing videos can you see of the same girl before you move on?

I totally agree with you. We have 10 solo girl sites and we only go for the girls who are dedicated to making money just like we are. We have a different approach to the this because we do a revshare with the girls (instead of a one time payment). Girls know they will make more money if they work more. Every girl does 3 camshows per week. We also give our members option to choose what they want to see on the site, what kind of pictures and movies we should make. All of this gives GREAT retention and that is our goal.

Surfers are not idiots. Give them what they want and they will stay on your site

We've tried it both ways -- with live shows and without. I agree it works great if the model is reliable and personable, but its a huge detriment to the site if she misses a couple scheduled liveshows in a row. Worse yet is the liveshow with a cranky performer, you are better off without a liveshow at all.

Exactly, we had that, girl didnt show up, too late, or did things on a cam thatll scare the members.

Weekly updates, great HQ vids and lotsa content works fine

good points.haven't seen their members area myself but from my the boards it seems badgirlbucks doesn't update their members areas

they barely do, just put 2k pics there and thats it, no shows, no blog, no vbulletin, they think the % payout on the signup price makes up for that. webmaster are stupid they don't even bother checking, many guys would be suprised by whats going on in members areas

People are always shocked when they see how much content I give my members. Then when I see the 10th "password site warning" post, and I finally go check out a few competitors I can see why they're shocked. Most of their members areas are TINY. I'm almost up to 100 hours of Exclusive video I shoot myself between my 3 sites (which my members get access to all of them). If you've got good traffic that you can't mislead it's a good idea to check out the member's areas of any of the sites you promote.
