We wrote similar software for some one else who is launching in Asia. I don?t think their is any patents on it. This is a industry where if you have a good idea, some one else is going to compete with it in no time with out any shame.

Im suprised it has taken this long before someone did it.

There was a first in everything - first SE - first PPC engine.

And now you were the first desktop stripper program.

I find the overall design of the sites really close (girls in large rez on the right, animated girl dancing in a monitor, download block with infos on the software lloking alike). We got a few other competitors, but none of them made a copy of our design, nor announced their product as being "unique".

This said, we shot over 260 different girls since 98, including a bunch of great ones as Sunny Leone, Aria Giovanni, and wwe give members five new girls a week. So I'm not worried, just a bit pissed about the way they act.

Legendary Lars produced a similar product a few years ago (www.freshgirls.com) and dropped it. I love him and we now joke about it. We have a few other competitors since and I respect them all. So why I am pissed about this one? I guess it's the way the copy has been made and the fact they are posting on the boards about their "unique product".

It's a variation.. Even the first 8 bars of someone else's song can be copied...

It isn't the appearance of the site that matters.. it's how many folk you can get to the site to see it...

bullshit looking sites can get just as many visitors as the high priced commercial sites... It's what ya have for them after they get there that will make ya the bucks...

Agreed. We don't have a patent for desktop strippers and they're just releasing a similar product.

I just find it a bit too similar (bringing nothing new to the niche) and I don't like the fact they announce it as an "unique product" when we've been around for quite a while.

i looked into desktop strippers years ago - it's a Microsoft technology called Live Agent or something. Anybody can do it - doing it well is another story i guess. You guys at Totem carved a niche with it and do a great job but there's nothing you can do about it or even be upset about. There are others out there with desktop strippers, just never marketed or produced very well.
