Credit Card Alert!

Just a heads up -

Someone got a hold of my credit card info that I do business with, & has tried running up some big charges on it.

I am by no means pointing fingers, but I did do a very unsecure cc transaction last week over the phone (while many others did it via fax, phone, or online). It would be worth your while to see if there are any funny charges on your cards.

This may be a completely random event, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to check your own accounts, especially since this is a holiday weekend.

Still worth checking your accounts.

They were for about $500 a pop.

It looks like they made a couple of small test transactions, then went for the big ones.

I had heard that some Visa cards were also hacked, but I think all those cardholders were already notified & have new cards.

Good to see that no one else is having any trouble though, it would really suck if somebody was targeting adult webmasters somehow.

I got a letter from MasterCard a few days ago saying that my card has been compromised and, although they haven't noticed any fraudulent transactions, they're sending out a new card with a new number just to be safe.
