C64 4TW.

The sheep of the day all bought $1200 Apple II computers, when the C64 could offer the same graphics/capabilities for less than half as much.

BAAAAAA GO THE SHEEP! ;)

I remember hookin' up my first 300 baud modem and actually connecting to a chat line.. Scared the Hell out of me... What to do what to do!! Then I thought I was amongst the coolest of the cool..

These kids nowadays think the internet was around forever... Like remote controls.... They don't know that we used to have to actually get up to change the channel on the tv... and stick our finger in certain holes to dial phone numbers.. and my first $35 tv didn't have color...

Load up a C64 emulator and relive the memories:

http://www.computerbrains.com/ccs64/

I've got one loaded up with roms that I can run on my XBox.

That sig 2 above me is nuts.

The Sinclair Spectrum was one sweet machine... I loved it!

Also, I remember my first 300 baud modem and my first Compuserve bill... $1500 for the first month... and I also remember dialing into the Air Force Weapons Lab and saying "uh-oh" when the screen came up after a 'war-dialing' session with a dialer I wrote and yanking the phone line out of the wall before they could trace me...

It's looking pretty grim right now...

At least the past had some good times to reflect upon...

Hopefully our children, and their children can say the same..

Who had that Epyx "Fast Load" cartridge for their C64? I remember using that thing to hack into Ultima IV, and remove walls from things like shops in cities so I could just walk up and steal a horse anytime I liked...

Ahhhh the good old days. 300 baud modems, Jolt cola, and trying to avoid the gestapo patrols of my Mom past 10pm on schoolnights while playing in the dark...
