It eats the rear tyre in less than 800 miles. I drow one through the Swiss alps, and I had to change the tires 3 times in a week. But its fast

The Busa's ok if u like little bikes ... j/k
Actually if/when I get a sports bike the Busa's definitely going to be the bike I get ... you can get them in a metallic bronze color which IMHO looks fucking amazing. This is my ride ... the Triumph Rocket III 2300cc!! ... it's got the best of both worlds. She's damn fast like the name implies but comfortable enough for touring. I actually just took a ride 4,000Km's across country a few months ago and the Rocket performed great. ![]() |

I was just at my local dealership today. I rode down to San Diego and then on into Mexico, nearly 1000 miles in a week and my visor was pretty fucked up.
Busa is a great bike from what I've heard. The only reason I didn't get one myself is because I like a full rear seat for my passenger, although I rarely take passengers. Here's my ride: During my trip a few weeks ago I decided my jacket wasn't up to bike riding - it was just a plain leather jacket. So today I went out and plunked down $400 on this: I'm also thinking of getting a white helmet too.

They handle like shit and are very uncomfortable, but they are VERY quick. Personally, I'd rather get a gixxer.

Sounds more to me like the guy on the bike did not have what he needed. It did not appear that he down shifted when the car did. You see in rear window scene the car bounce from the shift, but the bike did not.

i have a 2001 with just under 10k miles. completely stock except for hawke electronic chain oiler.
i've ridden sportbikes for 35+ years, had all the italian exotics, and all the jap hi-perf bikes. there is nothing that compares, nothing. the bike looks big, but feels light once you are above walking speed. it is so well balanced that when i am in stop and go traffic i never put my feet down. aerodynamically it is without a doubt the most comfortable sport bike, the faster you go the more stable it is because it tends to hold the front wheel down---big difference between other sportbikes that start to get a light front wheel at high speed. one of the best headlight systems on any bike. if you are young you might not be able to afford the insurance. suggest buying a new one only. the bike is such a rush that used ones will usually be ridden pretty hard. it is a little hard on the rear tire but i'm just about ready to replace the 2nd tire now, because i don't hotdog it too much. i wish it had a bigger chain (comes stock with 530). it is not a bike for novices, very easy to get way over your head on the bike due to fast build up of speed---60 to over 100mph in maybe 5 secs. very easy to kill yourself. understand panic stopping and know what counter-steering is---otherwise you will be in trouble. good luck, wear a helmet and real protective clothing. www.hayabusa.org |

busa's are great bikes.. they handel great and ride smooth.. kind of like a sport bike cruiser.. I hit 222mph on my buddies his is an 05' I ride a gixxer 600 myself but I am geared to all hell so I am quick off the line but have no top end... they are great bikes ... although the new gsxr1000 the 05' will shit on anything on the road right now... there fucking fast.. I rode one a few weeks ago before I got injured and was lifting the front in 6th gear with a little flip of the clutch,... any bike is good it's all about the rider... my buddy can't wheelie his busa but I can park it on the tail and exaust.. for those who don;t know what that means it means that I will scrape the tail in the wheelie.. and I can pull like 100ft endos on busa's as well ... and I am 5'9 160lbs he is 6'4 220lbs so it's all the rider... I reccomend those or the new 1000's if your looking for freeway speed.. if it's your first bike get a 600 or a 750.. al bikes are fun long as there on 2 wheeles... the zx10 is nice but feels like it's going to fall apart when "I" ride it.. but I ride the shit outta bikes
