Ok....I just have to say, that you guys are nuts when you think that the police could have jumped on or used a taser.

Actually that picture is of a piece of equipment called a SCRAPER. (I know, because I spent 2 years as a heavy equipment operator with all kinds of equipment)

They are about the length of a tractor trailer truck,

they can drive FAST,

and they turn REALLY quick by articulating with hydrolics right behind the cab.

I would NEVER in a million years drive up next to one at 30 mph trying to jump on or shoot the kid with a taser from 25 feet away.

All the kid would have to do is just jerk the wheel over and you would be CRUSHED.

It would have been sucide to try it.

How would they be held liable? THEY DID NOTHING FOR 15 miles WORTH OF DAMAGE! There were tons of things they could have done, drive a fucking cop car head on into it and stop the bitch. Come on, they will pay more than the cost of a cop car to deal with the paperwork of shooting someone.

use a fucking golf cart then for more manueverability, its fucking goin 15 miles an hour! Go the same speed, when it turns react, or use the turn TOWARDS you to jump on the fucking things since you drive right beside it. Shit cops these days just are not athletic and are pretty damn lazy when it comes to just doing shit.

I think the cops should have tried to at least contact batman first, i'm sure him or spiderman wouldn't have a problem dissolving the situation.

Tasering him or Jumping on the tractor all assumes that this kid doesn't have a weapon. Which unless the cops have a crystal fucking ball they are not going to know. You try and get close to do either maybe he shoots your ass with a gun that you don't know whether he has or not. On top of that it was dark. Even though they may have been able to guess his age. I doubt any of them knew for sure at the time he was 14.

Moral of the story. Don't threaten to kill the cops or they will shoot your ass and you will deserve it.
