the biggest problems I have with AVN are
A). They have me on their mailing list as KB from TripleX Cash
I haven't worked for them in almost three years...this tells me their information is old and outdated.

B). They fired my sister in law with NO CAUSE and still owe her a GRIP.
Never gave her an accounting of her commissions and fighting a woman who is expecting to give birth in a couple of months

The owner Paul Fishbein told me in an email exactly 1 year ago that she was like a sister to him and this was like a divorce - and that she'd get very penny owed to her

THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED.

My sister in law has been very upset by their actions, and that causes my entire family to be upset as well. When you fuck with my family- you have a major problem with me. PERIOD.

If AVN is such a powerhouse and has made a gazillion dollars over the last 9 years than the right thing to do is for them to PAY HER- not fight with her

After all, she helped the owners of AVN to millionaires. Now all she is getting is aggravation.

AVN needs to pay up to look good in my eyes- they breached an agreement and now are playing games. I have absolutely nothing to gain by posting this information only have something to lose...but obviously I have come to the realization that AVN does NOT put money in my pocket-
WEBMASTERS DO

The same webmasters that come to this board, the Phoenix Forum , The AWE shows, the Webmaster Access shows, and the Cybernet Expo-

Sure Internext is a great time and an excuse to come see many webmasters- but I see enough of them at the Players Ball- which by the way will always be at the same time as their show - and will NEVER AGAIN BE AFFILIATED WITH AVN.

I am through being a nice guy -
I am going to continue to expose all the filth in this industry from now on-

I have realized many things in the past two weeks-
I am my own man- I promote in a way that is effective for me and the companies I represent. I am too smart and far too creative for this business in many ways and most importantly I have an exit strategy.

I have decided i will be leaving this business one yr from today and will be off doing my mainstream ventures- I am adding a few more clients to my portfolio for the next year and will be aggressively blowing them up

You won't see me being a goat for anyone ever again-
I am my own person - a good person, and one who deserves better than pissing with dysfunctional assholes who are not real business people.

Like me or hate me- you will READ my posts and you will send traffic to my programs...
WHY?

Because I represent history in this business, and represent great companies that deserve to be recognized.

So like I was saying

YES AVN DOES HAVE A CREDIBILITY ISSUE

I think anytime you look at their ads and then see who wins the awards on the video side of the biz- it's as clear as day that it's nepotism and favoritism that account for everything-

This is my opinion of course, but then again- how come I knew that Red Light was winning the award for Best Selling DVD in July of last year when the voting process didn't come up for another couple of months?

I'll tell you why...Red Light spent a SHITLOAD of cash with AVN - that's why.
It also did end up selling more than any other DVD- but how do you tell someone they have won in mid summer?

Interesting huh?

You are damn right there are a lot of serious reasons

A). All my friends who I have personally helped in this business have either turned on me or my family and have given absolutely no indication tha tthyey are thankful.

B). I have spent the last three years fighting for what was owed to me by several web companies who tried to fuck me- 2 of them I obviously cannot mention due to legal shit I signed. I have successfully sued two companies who were SHAVING and stealing from me- I caught them with their hands in the cookie jar and nailed their asses to the wall-
I have negotiated the sale of several companies- only one webmaster took very good care of me- THANK YOU RICK MUENYOUNG - ( original owner of YNOT)

C). I was the one responsible for making Paris Hilton an overexposed whore, helped my buddy Rick and Red Light to sell over 700,000 copies of a DVD that I got 0 bucks for other than my monthly retainer from Red Light

D). I have been blocked from many high paying jobs in this business by some people who have no clue what I do or how I do it- they simply fear anyone with a head on their shoulders and anyone who is smart enough to find out when something doesn't smell or look right

E). I am constantly barraged by morons on this board and elsewhere who have no idea that they are talking to a 36 yr old businessman who was corporately trained by Fortune 100 companies such as Reynold's Metals Co AT&T, and Nationwide. It's hard to really bite your tongue sometimes :-((

F). I am always being measured up to my brother in this business who has absolutely nothing to do with my business- he did get me into it and we do promote the Players Ball together, but other than that we haven't worked alongside of each other since our partnership with Homegrown on IOU/ Amateurfootage.com 7 yrs ago.

G). I am sick and tired of watching people who have serious drug problems and make $20,000 a yr come to shows and to boards with an attitude like they are a millionaire and don't care about anyone- they just need to join this fucked up fraternity we call the online biz

H) I am tired of making others look good- and making millions of dollars for people who tell me i'LL BE REWARDED HANDSOMELY and then disappear.

I). I will be repping companies that have only the best intentions from now on and are not bullshit- only programs that give webmasters some intrinsic value.

I am ending on I- because that is the only person that matters in this business. I will spend 1 more year working my ass off for whomever wishes to have a solid rep who looks out for their company. I will make money for the right companies and I look forward to hearing from many of you.

I am looking to take on one more client at this time- and will be announcing this week the other new companies on my roster- If you want a straight shooter and not a bullshit artist working for you- especially one who prides himself on having the biggest and best rolodex in the business-

email me at [email protected] I want to work for you!

I think people forget AVN is not a news org ,they are a marketing company who has a magazine that is one big ad. Nothing more I stopped subscribing to avnonline it was a waste to read. Either outdated news too many ads or articles that are really ads in disguise.

I still wanna know why this was written if it's not true:

http://www.avn.com/articles/227053.html

TEMPE, Ariz. - Payment processor CCBill will update its acceptable use policy (AUP), excluding sites that feature watersports and violent content.

A company representative said that sites within said niches that have already been approved will be able to process ?for the time being.?

Official word is that ?CCBill is no longer accepting new sites which contain or market person-to-person exchanges of bodily fluids. This mainly pertains to urine/urination, blood, or overall violent scenes or depictions.?

Several employees of the company refused to comment on the matter; however, the new AUP is said to be available this week.

While CCBill is being tight-lipped about their reasoning behind the move, it comes on the heels of the May 5 announcement by the U.S. Department of Justice of the formation of its Obscenity Prosecution Task Force. Also of questionable consequence is a March 23 subpoena obtained by AVNOnline.com filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Missouri, which reveals that the government is looking for similar content, which includes fisting, urination and torture.

?In the current political environment, they probably see a high risk in this type of content and they probably see that as a risk they?re not willing to bear,? says Chicago-based First Amendment attorney Joe Obenberger of J.D. Obenberger and Associates.

Meanwhile, the landscape for the other large payment processors hasn?t changed.

?Paycom has carefully considered its polices. Paycom, at its option, may choose not to accept payment processing for content that could cause an adverse effect on their portfolio. The formation of the task force has not led us to change our policies,? Paycom communications director Rand Pate tells AVNOnline.com.

Netbilling president Mitch Farber concurrs.

?Our only written policy is against sites that are against Visa regulations. We often make moral judgments on sites internally,? he tells AVNOnline.com. ?If we don?t like what someone is doing on a site, we?ll turn it down. It doesn?t happen very often, but if someone is doing a rape site?it?s stuff we morally feel we don?t want to do business with.?

here is the deal-

I am done playing games- now I get real.
You may or may not like me, you may even hate me
but YOU WILL RESPECT ME.

I will gain your respect through telling the truth, I fear no one, and nothing
I will not be intimidated by attorneys', big companies, or anyone else

I will start telling the REAL story of the online business and I will educate many of you on how so many of the people you revere in the industry came from me bringing them into the business- YOu will also see where I have been given a bum rap

I am willing to answer any and all questions that you may have- bring it on.
Can you all handle the truth?

We shall see.

I will continue to only give my honest opinion whenever AVN or anything web related is concerned.

IN CONTEXT:

I'm no professional writer, THIS WE KNOW - but I'm going to work with both AVN Online and AVN Magazine and have their editorial staff help me get my thoughts down on various aspects of the Content business. There are 20 topics i can rattle off the top of my head regarding different points of interest that I think will help BOTH webmasters and the guys in the video business and add value to both magazines.

These won't be advatorial pieces for ContentBlowout.com or TheContentStore.com, but I'm sure they'll get exposure from writing articles month after month. Just got to keep my name out there consistantly!

Back to your regularly schuled programming.

I hope you're not writing about the content business, Mr. Silverstein. Blowing out the content of others does not an expert make. I'd rather read your writings about marketing, because THAT is something you definitely know!

HONEST=CRITICAL

That's what I'm saying... he needs to blog about MARKETING, not the CONTENT BUSINESS. He knows about the former, but not the latter.

I simply said I hope he'll be writing about MARKETING and not CONTENT.

J Styles dear-

It was Aly who said you were writing for AVN-

I believe she said "MY BUDDY JSTYLES", as a matter of fact.

"Good lord, KB, perhaps if you actually started reading the magazine you'd learn something yourself! Like, for example, that the very useful information presented to readers in the last two issues is offered up by respected and successful leaders in this industry. They include, your good friend J$tyle$, Me, Eric Matis, Mark Gallione, Chandie Foster, Scott Rabinowitz, Derek Meklir, Eric from Gamma, Lars, Brock MacKenzie, Jack Mardack, Matthew Sclier, Gary Olen, Kevin Ho, Mike Price, various attorneys... I really could go on and on, but perhaps you should start looking at the magazine again before you pretend any further that you have the slightest idea what's going on".

Jonathon I never thought I'd see the day where I'd actually tell you to go fuck yourself-
But now would be the best time.

Ahh yes...
Unbiased news information without the Marketing sales slant.
Real journalism and reporting with research.

All gone out the window in adult since day one.

Dollah dollah hollah!
Thats what it is now. Wait I can not remember the last time I read anything of such about the adult industry cept maybe Forbes as they gleen on it once in a great while.

And Dahling while you are at it- ask the higher ups where Jen's money is...
Maybe you can skillfully avoid that answer next...

You are the messenger- tell us.

Kevin, you're the king of spin and right now you're spinning, bro!

READ THIS CAREFULLY it's about useful information not about writing for the magazine ... I was interviewed on marketing :

If you recall, you were quoted in the same issue tooting your horn about what a great marketer you are! LOL

I know you remember that, right?

She didn't misquote me regarding a private conversation so YOU can

... and you confide an awful lot of shit in me without concern about me talking your personal or business shit ANYWHERE or to ANYONE ... I've held your confidence everytime, bro!

You don't afford me the same so AGAIN - YOU can go fuck yourself!

BTW - I still love you and have verbalized on many occasions how I feel about you personally.

Apologize, bro - you said something that was told to you in private. You were wrong. Own up and lets be done!

"Is offered up" sounds like they offer the articles. And I also wrote what they had printed.

So what trust did I give up?
Sounds like you are a little defensive to me

and for the record, I wrote that entire section for Jay at AVN about myself
I also never thought in a million years they'd be dumb enough to print the part about me being the next best marketer to Hugh Hefner-

But low and behold, they printed every word...

Donny, down off your high horse man, please? You might get a nosebleed!

There are many things about the content business that have nothing to do with SHOOTING.

Marketing is definitely one that I'm an expert in

However ...

what about content management?

or Content acquisition?

or the changes in the Content industry over the past 8 years?

I can go on, but I'm sure you get the idea

How do you actually get s subscription for the mag now? I have been trying for years to get it sent to me again (it stopped coming in 2001 sometime) with no luck. I've been to 3 InterNext shows since IA2000 and signed up online God knows how many times and I have yet to reciever a copy.

Aly can you find out if Platinum Paradise or Twisted Data LLC is still in your DB and who can I talk to to get the mag sent to me again?

Thanks.

I'd have to say that's how I took it. kB is right about that one. "Is offered up" = "was written by" to me.

Now... can we PLEASE talk about why this story was printed???????????

No high horse. I'm just saying you need to write about something you know, which is marketing. You don't know the content business. That's a fact. There's nothing to argue about there. And there's nothing wrong with admitting you know nothing about the content business. You know marketing, which is probably the single most important part of this (and any) industry. Write about marketing. I would LOVE to learn what you know.

So, will you be writing about marketing, or content?
