$6.50 pay per email will be launched shortly
$0.50 pay per profile is now available! (NO RATIO)

Ahh, sleep felt good today :)

To summarize a few things,

- Whether you use subdomain.yourdomain.com, yourdomain.com, or a domain from our list...you should host it with us. Why? You pay no hosting/bandwidth costs for one thing. Second, you eliminate the lag caused by xml/rss feeds or any other cross-network methods of fetching data/loading code; the faster your site is, the better people convert.

- We have tried and tested everything else that is available, from both "out-of-the-box" solutions and private labelling/co-branding offered by other sites. We truly feel this is the EASIEST system to work with, while offering the most advantages.

- We're going to do something that NO ONE else will *probably* let you do. Set your own price points! (coming soon). Does your traffic like to impulse buy? Perhaps they are an elite crowd who would pay higher prices instead? It's all upto you :pimp

Your job as a partner is one thing: drive that traffic and make us both money. We offer you the tools you need to do it.

Most of our affiliates are telling us that $0.50 PAY PER PROFILE is the equivalent of $1.50-$2.00 pay per email (NO RATIO).

If you believe you have a high paid conversion and want to be paid more per signup, then hit me by icq!

Though this thread may die, its spirit will live on through the hearts of brave Webmasters on GFY... :1orglaugh

Thanks for the compliment though...we put a lot of planning into making our system beat anything others are offering right now, and think we did a damn good job. This is only Phase 1 though, we have a lot more planned :winkwink:

Cool offer.

sternyduke 03-21-2005 03:58 AM

what if i have a killer swingers domain name and site design ready to go but no traffic yet. can i set something up or do i have to be an affiliate first and make atleast $100 a month.

KRL 03-21-2005 04:02 AM

Down to the wire now.

Men.com's Personals will be one of the guinea pigs for this new feature so keep your fingers crossed.

:helpme :) :thumbsup

brilsmurf 03-21-2005 04:53 AM

mm i think confiremd emails will be better than profiles: less work: a profile asks about 5 to 10 min a work entering your email 20 seconds if you type with two fingers :)

We are doing an exception this month and accepting anyone!

It takes about 2 minutes to create your partner site!

Hit me on ICQ!

Not really!

We have the stats now!

80% of those that create a profile NEVER confirmed their email!

You get almost 5 profiles for 1 email confirmed.

Basically, I want an API or an XML feed so I can use the data directly in my portals. I want all the traffic on my server.

I'll second this. An XML feed would be great. Iframes limit us in our design and the traffic is not at our sites. I want full control of my traffic.

Any kind of feed is VERY SLOW! The technology is not there yet.

So we decided to give full ftp access instead. it is lightning fast and it connects directly with our database of four million members. How about control now ? ;-)

That is just not true. Period. I know you are running decent servers and the script to deliver an XML feed is at the very least as fast as delivering an iframe. Even a straight HTML feed could be almost as fast if it was parsed using a good routine.

Giving FTP access to profile data and pics for ads would be fine too, but I haven't seen you advertise that anywhere. XMS feeds would still be better since they give the surfer the newest data.

Become and IwantU.com Partner today

Hey Michael, who do I need to file my DMCA notice with regarding the theft of our content? Would that be you or your partner site? Basically I just need to know who stole the content, so did your partner site (http://www.swingerscom.com) do their own design work or did you provide it to them? The pic in the center at the top of the page belongs to Allie and I. BTW, I also recognize several other pics on that site which I?m quite sure are stolen as well. I'll be notifying the copyright holders of those images tonight. I sure would have expected better from a IwantU and/or it's partners.

Hey Jake,

I will contact this partner immediately. He does his own design work, one of the key elements of our partner program offer: Full site customization.

As it his domain name also, I think if you would file it would be against him, not IwantU. We are not using pictures we do not have license for. For example, we have Sunny's permission to use her as one of the pics on our site and in our ads...

Before filing though, let me ask him, perhaps he was simply unaware.

I believe Michael was not comparing the iframe method to xml, but the hosting on our side method. Which is how our partner sites work.

When your site is hosted by us, it has the code and DB all on the same network, so it is much faster than if you had to pull data through feeds across the net :2 cents:

Bruce_Miller 03-22-2005 05:49 PM

Keith,

We have joint copyright on that image with Allie and Jake as it is us that are in that photo with them. When they signed up as an affiliate on our cash program I wrote to them and their service provider to let them know that those images were copyrighted to us, and that he should stop using them imediatly. That was over a month ago and they are still there.

So, just to clear things up they are aware that those are stolen images, they just have chosen to continue to use them.

Keith, while I appreciate your desire to resolve this as soon as possible, please don't come to the defense or this individual by saying "Before filing though, let me ask him, perhaps he was simply unaware." Unaware? Unaware of what? Unaware that he did not own the copyright or have a license to use the content. He knew exactly what he was doing when he STOLE the content. Period!

Since you are probably the most direct route to this individual I would ask that you advise him if it isn't down by midnight tonight I'll file a DMCA with his processor, host, and registrar. You may want to advise him to redesign the entire site as I will be contacting the copyright holders of the other images he has stolen and I'm quite sure they'll take the appropriate action as well.

Varius 03-22-2005 05:59 PM

Jake,

I've spoken with this partner and he was not aware they were copywritten images. He said they have tons of images and just picked some at random for placeholders while working on the site.

He will remove them right away, they were not intended to be his final images anyhow.

If you know of more such images, please let me know via ICQ at 520468 or email [email protected] and I'll let him know as well.

Hi Bruce,

If you happen to notice such things in the future, please bring it to my attention as well as his....he may not have gotten the email, might have ignored it...who knows.

I will act on it though if I receive any such notices :)

Varius 03-22-2005 06:07 PM

Jake,

The top header images have all been removed by our partner now. Please let me know of any others and he will remove them as well, as quickly.

Keith, I can appreciate you coming to the defense of a partner site but to say that he "was not aware they were copywritten images" is ridiculous. If they weren't copy written or licensed then what were they? Additionally, as stated above by Bruce_Miller (joint copyright holder of this image) he had already notified the guy about this exact image. The guy chose to ignore Bruce_Miller's notice and continued using the stolen image. The guy is a fucking thief and should you choose to associate with him is a decision for you to make however I wouldn't think it would be a good business practice to partner with a thief!

PHPdude 03-22-2005 08:41 PM

I am not really sure why you keep using the term 'associate with him .....with a thief'. Our partners are fully independant and they control 100% of their content.

If you find another IwantU.com partner using copyrighted material, please let me know by ICQ at 551-376! and we will gladely do our best to sort things out. Peace!
