Do they help many countries that need food? Sure, but they do it in exchange for preaching to these people. If you want the food, you have to at least listen to them preach. But they still are humans and human nature is to have sex. But they do so without a condom because of what they have been tought and this is one of the main reasons that AIDS is such an epidemic in many african countries.

All common sense contingency plans aside - it is not unreasonable for any nation to have at least have considered "scenarios" in the event of some war or attack - the mouth of Bush is a major liability to the US and the rest of the world.

Simply put, the individual is a total retard incapable of comprehending, nevermind promoting, international relationships. There is little doubt the current "leader" is certainly the worst in the civilised world, but probably ranks low in even the third world.

The guy cannot be trusted to make a sane judgement (look what happened in the very recent past), and is just the subject of smirks and eye-rolling across the globe - that has gotta be one of the saddest things both for the US and also for the rest of the world. It ain't even funny.

It is ironic that he was ever re-elected when you consider what the net results of the first term were - a total disaster, with the odd rare exceptions.

This is a guy who took a nation into a war on a totally false basis. The list is far too long, but includes the responsiblity for deaths of many thousands, a total disregard for any economic issues and also a load of fairly serious domestic issues that *may* just start to be addressed in his second term - tho I doubt it. Only my 2 cents worth - but I doubt he is capable.

Overall, I suspect Bush's second term to end with the US being in even a worse condition than now - although he may have started this term on a more subdued/conciliatory tone, - but doubt that will last.

It amazes me to hear Bush talk of "our aim is to give all people of the world freedom and democracy..." blah. WTF is he talking about?? :-) Don't he know that the majority on the planet actually do have freedoms - often far more than offered to US Citizens.

On the above... (I can't talk specifics cos it's not my biz and ain't at liberty to say), but I alone know of two people in the US today who most would say have "served their country well". Despite that they are currently being pissed on from a great height and no doubts whatsoever this conduct by Federal govt is clearly not within any standards of human decency or within any human rights guidelines. If that is the way the US govt treats it's "own", who did nothing but good for them, no other person has a chance. The word "freedom" and "values" are a mockery when used by the current Admin.

On the flip side on the coin.. there are reasons why people become what we regard as "terrorists". Often what is one man's terrorist is the others freedom fighter. Only my 2 cents worth, but ya can't defeat terrorism my making it a major issue and engaging in bombing the shit out of "possible terrorists" and killing many 1000's of innocent people - that has nada effect. From the roots, the only way to attack/defeat them is change their perspective and reasoning for a wish to attack - and that is the much harder side and takes a lot longer to do. Conventional forces have no chance in hell with this - tho obviously useful.

People don't just wake up one day and blindly point a finger at a map and decided they are going to attack whatever nation - they have reasons and "causes".

The irony is... tho this takes literally years. It is fairly common for a terrorist org to end up with some credibilty and sit at a conference table negotiating a "peace". Time will tell.

If you are referring to Iraq and Saddam - that has literally nothing to do with any defense or security in the US. Iraq never attacked the US.
