i want a Treo 650 *really* bad, but i'm going to wait patiently (!) for the GSM version, i don't want to be nailed to the USA only for access, like i would be w/ Sprint..

Consider one of the many windows mobile devices.
They sync better with outlook and word etc etc http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...e/default.mspx Plus you can run heaps more apps and be on the net much more transparently including with wifi. I have a friend with a new treo and he lusts after my o2 XDA mini.

There's only one product on the horizon that can compete with the Treo.
It's the new Motorola MPX with the keyboard and wifi.

palm os is balls. go with a windows os phone. you'll find it much more useful.
