One of the problems that is going on, is that this is news reported by people that MAY not know the entire story.

For the tanks rolling over people. They can not stop to move them or they will be ambushed and killed them sleves. They can not easily drive around them.

If these people can not follow basic commands and hand signals, then what do they expect? I do not agree with shooting them, but I also understand that leaving them there will only invite one of them to kill you, or your partner.

Easy answer...forces are still there because the mission has not been accomplished...but news flash for you...forces will be in Iraq until hell freezes over...mission accomplished or not...or untill the American people demand (in force) that they be removed. Troop levels are normally raised or lowered at the request of the field Commanders...but in this case it is to provide increased security for the elections taking place next month.

Before the Iraqi military had been defeated (in other words from the beginning) British forces were attacked while the enemy was under a white flag of truce/surrender pretending to be peaceful non-combatants while at the very same time using actual non combatants for cover. This was video taped by an embed and shown to the world.

As for being fed info...yes indeed I am fed info and have been from the beginning...as I am in contact with around twenty five active duty members (most of which I served with but in some cases the sons/daughters of those I served with) that have served in Iraq and in some cases more than once.

That's a good idea - except it has a couple flaws. First, the money in storing the old blunt weapons would stop being wasted, causing government types to lose jobs. Second, the money being wasted on newer smart weapons would shrink, causing government people as well as civilian contractors to lose jobs. Third, if you level a whole city over there, you're now obligated to rebuild it after you're done. Use Japan as an example. So it ends up being about the same price, and the smart weapons way gives our people more money and leaves the enemy living in the same shit they've been in since they discovered dirt there.
